he hasnt seen him cause he just turned 21...reasonable excuse i think

He's coming here real soon...always a good show. Did he play his more mellow tunes all night or did he bring out some floor burners ? Last time in charlotte his set was real mellow but dancey i suppose. I guess true kaskade style. After all before all this mainstream grammy winning shit he was the man in west coast deep house. Just wish he would play more of his tunes remixes.

Good to know you're finally legal, Dylan! I still unfortunately have a year, 3 months, and 3 days.

Angel On My Shoulder
Sorry (dirty south remix)
be still
I remember

were a few songs he played that I can remember for the most part one of the best sets ive ever heard from him some classics and alot of new. I think its because the mark does that to dj's makes them pump out nasty sets because of the vibe.

i know, i thought about that too. but it's all good!

i was thinking, john digweed's 42, sasha is 40, oakenfold is 46, sven vath is 39, it's pretty crazy, but age is really a state of mind to a certain degree.

it's certainly not slowing any of these guys down, and it's not slowing me down either.

Musically speaking im glad i got to experience the era i did. The late nineties and earlier part of the 2000's were a amazing era. Nothing like experiencing all of that music right when it hit. Trance's golden era and progressive house had a long run as well. I couldnt wait to hear the new global underground releases from sasha, dave seaman, nick warren, darren emerson, etc. Oakenfold owned back then as well before he turned to the top 40 crowd for sales. I love the sound and scene of today just as much but back then was just a irreplaceable era.

i couldn't agree with you more.

and, it's still exciting now, to see how things keep evolving... how all these guys continue to push the envelope.

but, you're totally spot on, back around 2000 was pretty special. *gets a little misty eyed*

I'm actually sad I missed that era (I'm 21). I love the late 90's progressive sound, can't stand trance and progressive today though.

I'm really happy with the techno / house type of renaissance that's going on in Atlanta right now though, tons of great talent and intimate shows coming up this summer.

Where there glowsticks and unicorns and rainbows during this era?

lol your one hell of a douchebag...its really amusing. That era shaped the sound and career of every artist today. That music made back then is still fucking amazing and timeless. You should ask sasha when he comes about the unicorns of the global underground days. Im sure youll get bitch smacked by half the crowd in there for such idiotic disrespect.

Well, at least I'm not the only person who thinks that guy is a douche. I'm not sure he's ever contributed anything useful to this forum. Not trying to be mean, he's just honestly always saying things to piss people off. I think he should see how Sasha like his demeanor. LOL

Posted by enydo on Apr-27-2009 04:32:

I don't think he'd really care what Sasha thought of him.
