Primal Fear (although the subject's mental disorder was being faked)
Apocalypse Now (an image of what happens to people at war)

Dirty Filthy Love

Rented it on a recommendation of some random person at a movie store my gf and I were browsing some time ago and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Very intense movie, but very fucking good.

That's one of the few movies suggested that are actually about mental disorder and don't just feature a character with one.

Pi is one of my favourite films, it deals with extreme paranoia.

I think you misunderstood. She wasn't asking for movies where the producers suffered from a mental disoder.

But the movies do have abnormal thinking behaviors in the characters..That's what I was aiming for but anywho, I think... STOKED: The Rise AND Fall Of Gator would be the best selection.

Sorry I'm not "cor" no offense to anyone who is

The Jacket dealt with PTSS. Did anyone mention that yet?

My assignment for psychology class is to watch a movie dealing with a mental disorder, then review and talk about the said disorder. Fairly simple stuff.

The list of movies we have are fairly stupid and/or cliche when it comes to disorders. So, anyone have any good recommendations?

Give that a read and then rent the documentary on it..I think it would make an excellent topic for discussion on mental disorders especially since "Gator" started off as a very rich professional skater and then due to serious mental disturbances he committed rape and murder.

The Poughkeepsie Tapes (2007) Description:
When hundreds of videotapes showing torture, murder and dismemberment are found in an abandoned house, they reveal a serial killer's decade-long reign of terror and become the most disturbing collection of evidence homicide detectives have ever seen.

Just finished my paper and I went with this one. Fucking fantastic movie. There were a lot of great suggestions, though, and I'm going to have a lot of movie watching to do this summer.

Again, thanks for all the recommendations.
