Id rather own property. Property is tangible and you have full control over it (Until the government passes too many laws that is)

Condos are under control of your whiney neighbours in the form of a board. Plus you pay condo fees on top of taxes all for a concrete box. And you dont even own the concrete, you own the air in between it.

No thanks!

If and when i ever own a condo it will be the building itself

God condo life reaks...

And they're no cheaper in the 'sauga...

That being said, condos pay my bills.....

The irony...

I think we should all get together and buy/rent out ALL the condos in that building so there will be no one to complain about the "noise". Its really a win win, stumbling distance to Guv would be stellar.

Smile

Wouldn't it be ironic if the government took over business and the Guvernment became the Canadian Bureau of Partying // Bureau du Canada du Parti.

The Guvernment complex will never close down... they've been open for waaay too long and make too much money.
As long as they keep paying off the city, we all have a place to party

True. BUT...with the way things are going (turning the drink into garbage with hip hop/mashup/top 40) add onto that the orange room and deluxe lounge..they now have THREE rooms I dare not enter. Whats next, theyll "reformat" the main room too?? Ugh. It should be ALL electronic music

the music in drink isn't that bad. I was giving some guv virgins tours at the start of contact and deadmau5's remix of 'untitled' was playing when we passed through

deadmau5....yah..ok i'd consider that "bareable". Ive went in a few times and heard a few ok tracks. What ruins it is the stuff that comes 5 mins later..which then makes you leave the room. House cannot be mixed with hip hop, (in my opinion) I dont care how good the DJ is. Just isnt right.

imposed sanctions= more security, quiet hours, elimination of sidewalk lineups (or taxed sidewalks), light and sound limiters.

This is not a question of whether or not the Complex will be allowed to remain open, as the City has no authority to close and establishment on the grounds of new residential areas. It is their right to maintain a business within the community.

The entertainment district is a prime example. The area was originally a commercial area sold for private use. Today, it has become one of Toronto's BIA's, thus the introduction of public-private partnerships. The sidewalks are now maintained- and even taxed by the community. New rules are implemented to maintain order (no-loitering signs thrown up everywhere, new parking rules, noise and light reduction guidelines etc.)

I guess i wasn't clear enough on my point. but ye, any thoughts on what changes may occur...or should i shut the fuck up and enjoy the rest of corstens countdown?

welcome to TA, where there's no one is serious (except circus black) and everyones a jerk....just get drunk and enjoy the show.
