interesting seeing activity in Sac, especially Ruby and Spundae...

isa did mention George and Linda starting a club in Sac called Social - this is good advertisement for it

/lurk

Hi Everyone. (First post on these boards.)

The Park will stay open until 4am for special events some Thursdays. i.e. 4th of July party last year w/ Christopher Lawrence and Donlad Glaude. But yeah, most nights it's 1:45 and done.

The TIESTO booking is a promotional event for a new club on K Street which won't open until possibly NYE. (Part of a new 3 venue deal - 1 cover for all 3 spots.) Social has been around for a bit.

Yeah, nice to finally see Sac crawling back into the scene, with Thursdays at the Park and now this new spot coming in. Hasn't been like this since In Stereo was bringing in Talent to Elements every Saturday.

Tiesto SOLD OUT

Posted by Trancelover24 on May-05-2009 18:39:

I want to go but the 1am end time is a bit of a joke... any chance of an after party??? Somnething that goes to atleast 4am??

Posted by jamesjkim on May-07-2009 00:14:

I think the website was down temporarily, which led to a post here that tickets were sold out, but tickets are still available.

I'm looking forward to this show. The last time Tiesto was at Ruby Skye in December was probably the best show I've been to - the energy throughout the night was amazing! I've also seen him in big venues like Bill Graham and had fun there too.

need some reviews when every either gets back home, or wakes up....

I enjoyed it, Tiesto was badasss first time seeing him and he blew me away. he is very good, could control the entire room so good. The vibe was definitely different than the LA raves but i had fun regardless. neck hurts like hell headbanging for 5 hours. any1 know the name of the first track he played?

Posted by drEamer on Jun-01-2009 15:28:

L.E.D let there be light????? i think

Posted by dorkiedanny on Jun-02-2009 02:06:

yeah he opened up with L.E.D. There Be Light.

Ive seen Tiesto at a few massives, and this was pretty good. Maybe not as super great as his Elements of Life Tour, but still, great tunes and energy. I want to say he played Pirates of the Caribbean, but im not 100% sure. Anyways, if he did, it sounded great. The crowd really loved him and showed it.

I didn't know what to expect from the venue. It was sort of like a rave-like venue but people dressed up as a nice club with some ravers here and there. Either way, it was still nice.

Only bad thing was that the lines to buy drinks took forever and again there were no places to sit.

All in all, listened to good music w/good friends = fun night.

anyone got pics? I was somewhat interested to go, but not enough to go... haha...
I just want to see what kind of set up they pulled...
How long did Tiesto play for? 3 hours?

My buddy took pics for eventvibe.com

I'm on my phone and don't want to hassle with finding the link though. He took some nice shots, the setup was pretty legit.

So glad for Sacramento that this was a huge successful event. By far the largest EDM show that Sac has ever seen. Looks like the scene there is making progress I had a fun night mostly because I was with all my best friends from home but Tiesto was blah and the night ended way too early. Ran out of sizzle snappers too, damn.

Thanks Guiv and Bjorn for the hospitality.
