is anyone else interesting in making a private gnutella network for TA's??? that way we could share stuff back and forth??

we can use a hacked version of gnucleus, change the connect string and then go to town... we could have our own tranceaddict P2P... anyone up for it??

If it wasn't for my $400 speakers, and the bass so loud, that its kinda slowing my heart rate a bit, i think i'd have a heart attack.

I've used WinMX for years now. It was shit but the only think for a 56K user without having to deal with AG on dial-up.

WinMX 3.2 actually kicks ass though. You can connect to multiple users in one download(up to 16) you can que mad shit, and other stuff. I'd highly suggest it.

But I hope you all learned to have a backup program. I'd suggest finding several halfway decent services so if one goes down you're not all fucked.

I got WinMX and am waiting on the new Morgeus (the current sucks)

But I agree that this sucks. If not for the loss of the genious programing, for the loss of a very nice freedom which we were given.

The RIAA got a very well thought out letter from me stating my thoughts and minor bitching, using my real email. They then got flooded with 1000's messages sent from a fake email on the school computers. I love technology, lol.

Oh and nice idea on the TA P2P, but be carefull! I'd definatly use though!

if anyone is interested I have figured out how to hack gnucleus to change the network (not really that hard, you need to change 1 line of code...)... I can't believe how fast RIAA shut down AG.

RIAA had every right to shut down audiogalaxy, and any file sharing program that gets created will have a short life. people will always have to change what they use every few months, its the way it is.

AG was before napster! They started 1999 so it took awhile for the RIAA to notice.
