Good thing I read this before posting any comments, since you seemed to take some of the words out of my mouth. I really liked the first 40 or so minutes but after Positive Education it just sort of seemed to drift off...into a territory that was, well, definitely not techno music! It actually got kinda housey at some points. TBH you kinda lost me until things picked up again with Planet Axt...that's when you captured my attention again.
Anyway since it was mainly you just messing around I guess that would explain why the mix did not seem quite as thought out as the other two mixes from you that I have listened to. But overall this was enjoyable with a good variety of tunes. Definitely not all the cold machine-like techno I remember from your last sets. Like I said, favorite part was the first 45 or so minutes.

fucking great tunes man.

cheers guys
Adam: I'd have thought after 50 mins it was all pretty cold machine like techno
ah well
Posted by Adam420 on May-14-2009 15:42:
No, on the contrary. I found that the sounds warmed up a lot at that point. It was a lot more funky and house-like
than the first 45 minutes or so. I'm just saying I like what you do with the techno better.

Yeah, who the fuck plays house and techno TOGETHER? That's fuckin' absurd.

Why did you take that as a negative comment? I didn't say I didn't like it, I just said I liked the techno stuff more.

The way you phrased your review was pretty negative
There's nothing wrong with liking techno over house, but I find it silly that you complained about that in this mix. It's pretty straight forward techno, even the housier bits are technoed up.
Posted by Adam420 on May-14-2009 19:17:
Well then no negativity intended

I was listening to it on the car while driving to work this morning. Got about 40 minutes in, so I haven't reached the controversial point of the set yet
So far, I've been liking it. Will resume listening on the car on the drive back home

Song 80 min in is wicked... with that subtle progtrance riff.

OK, I finished the set last night. Awesome stuff Az, I preferred the first part and the "housey" stuff in the middle but it was overall very good. I specially like the "fuck it, we'll do it live" vibe that the set transmits.

God damn Gridlock is such a tune
