Made are the people who bring you Sunday School in Miami. I would say they are probably my favorite promotor.

They throw some of the best parties I have been to and cater to all tastes.

I am super excited for this weekend.

Rachel - this is what I mentioned you should come down for.

RJ - we could have burgers.

Is this Labour Day weekend? Maybe I can convince my better half to go. He's alwyas wanted to go to NYC. It would be a good variety of our musical tastes.

That looks fucking tight. They need to do something like that in Toronto because I'm too lazy to travel to NYC

haha, thanks for the info. Unfortunately with my new job I really doubt I'll be able to get the time off but it's something to think about if LOL's lineup is balls this year

Tickets From NYC --> T.O. = Cheap.

Tickets from T.O.> --> NYC = Not soo cheap.

as for the party, the lineup is insane. I luv a good variety of music genres, cause I get bored of the same thing fast.

Randall's island has no shade, be prepared during the day folks. I wanted to die 2 years ago at a music festival on an extremely hot day.

interesting
given my US visa interview is a success and me wanting to visit NYC anyway, this could be a very big possibility

if you're talking about flights to/from Pearson, I thought the same tariffs apply to both departures and arrivals?

Posted by yankeeBaby on May-15-2009 14:21:

why dont you just do what I do: Pay $7 to take the megabus to Buffalo, and fly to and from NYC for $69 ish

Nope.. it is about $40 cheaper to fly from NYC to YYZ.

Thats what I said, when I heard the line up for rock the bells, but boy, that NYC heat was gonna give me a heart attack. Also when you go, know where the closest subway station is, and cab area cause we walked 2 kilometres lost in Harlem (i guess the safer area of harlem) til we found a subway station to get us back to our hotel.

Posted by Swamper on May-16-2009 02:20:

Nice party.

Also worth mentioning is the Electric Daisy Carnival in LA on June 26/27:

Trust me. I can deal with it. When I see famly "back home" it doesn't drop below 30. Period. Mostly humid too. As for hotels, walking and subway distances etc, I'm pretty sure I can still deal with it...been around Nyc enough to know (Yes even as for north as Harlem).

LOL!!! that is really funny, considering you cant walk in ANY direction for more than 10 blocks without running into SOME sort of subway!! lol you must have been walking RIGHT next to the subway line, just parallel to it!! whoops!

ps; September has some very cool days, even in the beginning. I am hoping for one of those!! (even more so, I am hoping for no RAIN!!)

Does everyone expect a lot of the same djs to be in Toronto that weekend, too? I would kill for Menno to be up there with a bunch of others from that lineup. Seems pretty likely considering the NYC event takes place during the day. I prefer "club" events, but this festival's lineup is outta control, though I'd expect the regular festival-like shorter type sets.
It really depends, I guess, on LOL's lineup this year, as well as events the surrounding days/nights in each city. I'd expect some pretty good events to pop up in NYC during those evenings. It would be a damn shame to stop partying at 11pm, haha. From an outsider's perspective, it's really hard to beat that weekend in Toronto with LOL, footwork, circa, boat parties, etc. The fact that you guys can keep things going up there all day/night/day is a big plus.
