lol. But all kidding aside. Seriously shady.

I know a lot of Portuguese people and they are all nice but these people are despicable. The guy actually had his mother throw us out of the shop and yell at me. What kind of customer service is that.

Bentos?

I saw RJ today and I asked him about your thread and then he mentioned your car and showed it to me. This situation definitely sucks! It's a small world but the guy you dealt with is my mechanic and this is all surprising to me since he knows his shit. He put a new engine in my car back in March and the thing runs better than when I bought it 10 years ago. That wasn't cool with his mom, but she doesn't understand the concept of customer service -- don't take it personally. I'd just say for now, before you go mentioning the place, give it a week and see if the problem comes to a successful resolution. Porkchops can be hot-tempered...let it simmer down.

I had a similar situation happpen with me this week: I bought a new bed almost a month ago and I went with itikia in his truck to pick up this heavy beast and it was only after the painful task of fitting the it through the elevator/bedroom doors that I realize that it's the damaged floor model I didn't want. They tried to repair it but you could still see the damage. I was pisssssed. Having waited almost a month when I could have had that same model the very next day, for cheaper, wtf! So, when I talked to them right after their story was that another customer bought the floor model and last weekend the store ended giving them the new one instead of mine - since it was the same bed and it was all packaged. The owner is old school, 70+ year old and he was talking to me like I was some young punk kid/trying to intimidate me and throwing $50 my way to shut me up (lol). Anyways, after some MAJOR bitching/standing my ground (including having the owner storm out of the room on me) the store is now picking up the bed and bringing me a NEW one like I paid for. I could mention his background and say he's shady but there are bad apples with every ethnicity. My outlook is that if it was indeed an honest mistake then I can live with that - but - if it was an attempted scam on me then I can't really be bothered for vengeance... Just get me my new bed because there are more important things to focus on. Mind you, if I didn't get it, I'd be going the small claims route since I didn't pay good $ for a damaged product.

life has screwed you over because the hood of your car was damaged? It's a just a car(part) and it's just money.

you're alive, don't worry about things and just enjoy it while you can!

and it's not the money because it's not what i care about. it's the fact that they thought a) i wouldn't notice since i'm a girl, b) it was just a stupid emission test which is totally useless anyways, and c) that they have nothing to lose by screwing me over so why the hell not.

i have to pay to fix the car, i have to pay to go to small claims, and it makes not difference to them. none at all.

people always trying to screw you. my faith in humanity is shot because of something like this. there are no honest people and no one is promoting the human race. always just trying to fuck you.

There are good people out there, they're just sooo hard to find. Most people only care about themselves and only do things for others if they get something in return.

A few weeks ago while i was working at one of my jobs on Spadina & Queen, I went downstairs to get something to eat at McDonald's. After I ordered my food, I noticed yelling and people crowding in front of McDonald's. I went outside to check out what was going on and I saw 4 guys trying to rob this one individual. There was a crowd of at least 6 or 7 people and what shocked me was, NOBODY was doing anything, not even calling the cops all they did was stand and watch. So I came in and immediately one of the guys came up to me and got all confrontational and I stood there waiting for him to do something and eventually all of them attacked me and I managed to stand my ground and help defend this one guy from being robbed. They ripped my armani shirt and ran away and I was taunting them to come back but they were drunk and wanted to get out of the area because they thought the cops were going to come soon.

After they ran off I talked to the guy who almost got robbed and told me his side of the story. He was carrying his suit and a bunch of guys came from behind and tried to take his knapsack off and he fought back. This city is full of pussies, I'm not pointing fingers to anyone on this board, but when I saw that and nobody trying to help, I knew I had to help because I've been in that situation before and nobody deserves to be beaten up on the streets with the public just watching.

Now me and this guy are friends and he's really glad I helped him, it just felt right to do.

Wooow, I wish that were true... then maybe it won't be so bad that I got cheated by my ex-boyfriend, who dumped me for another woman and who used to criticize and berate me so much that I ended up having panick attacks just opening up my e-mail in fear of there possibly being a message from him? Maybe I'll find some good and compatible guy who'll actually care for me instead! That would be really nice.

The worse it gets means that it can only get better from there.

Have you ever vented about anything before? Been discouraged by other people? If not, that's really impressive, congratulations.

I love you, birthday girlie!

Yes, I agree that's a ****** but like swamper says, let's leave it a little while and if a resolution isn't come to, we will formulate a plan

It's funny because when people were "venting" about their frustration of the Gardiner being shut down you were pretty quick to rip on them calling them babies. Are you always this hypocritical, or do you just see things the way you want them to suit your perspective at that exact moment?

looks like it's all nice and dandy over there

different people, different problems, also for some people smaller things can be more troublesome then bigger things
venting = ftw, puts a lot of things into (better) prespective

Totally different.
This was one individual looking at Marg, thinking she's a dumb broad, and taking advantage of her for that reason.
The other is a bunch of dumbasses stuck in traffic.
