Traktor. I actually don't find it that much easier to mix with Traktor than regular decks, as Traktor never stays in sync the way decks do. You constantly have to adjust. Plus, there's a bigger chance of human error.

Of course, with this kind of high-paced mix, it is helpful that you only have to focus on mix structure.

Hehe, I think you have me confused with the real DJs in this section. I don't have any gear, as I don't really have any desire to take mixing anywhere "serious". I'm just throwing tunes together on my laptop because it's fun and because people rarely play tunes the way I like.

Really, my mixes are no different than the good old "mixtapes" people make for whoever, except now there is technology available that makes the process easier.

Wait a few minutes before you grab it. I'm uploading the file now. 25 minutes left.

Cheers, Miss Echo.

Must have been quite a bitch mixing this stuff with only the track pad/hot keys. Anyway I can't say I like this kind of music but I certainly appreciate what you've done here. I just listened to the first 1.5 hours of the mix and you definitely achieved what you set out to. I think it's cool and was worth listening to.

I'd be up for that. However, the lineup for Fabric this weekend doesn't interest me all that much, especially not compared to this:

Posted by Az on May-27-2009 17:42:

gah, can't go, wish I could
there will be some epic lineups at fabric over the summer I'm sure, I can get us in for free as well

No worries, I'm not hooked on minimal either.

That was my intention, because nowadays, "minimal" tends to mean the opposite of fun in my experience. Cheers for listening, tis appreciated.

Grabbing this now. All of your sets I've heard have delivered.

Posted by Echo of Silence on Jun-12-2009 14:53:

Jan Henrik, which untitled track by Sutekh did you use?

Posted by Quadlow on Jun-12-2009 15:15:

I def got down to this for the most part. Overall a great blend of tech/minimal that pleased the ears. Few parts were not my fancy but most of it was pretty solid. Cheers mate.

It's on Periods.Make.Sense, though I can't quite remember which one of them it is.
