I get that Jake, but the drug dog supposedly smelled something in the car. If he didn't have anything to hide why would he make a big deal about it? He's not doing anything illegal so why does it matter?

Everyone really needs to get off the dumb fucking argument of "if he didn't have anything to hide..." because you are fucking dumb to have that thought. Ian has nothing to hide, but he lives with 4.5 MILLION CCTV cameras. Why do they need to watch everything? Big motherfucking brother anyone?

Also, as he describes in his video he was going from CA to AZ. So, no he was not coming through an international border.

Posted by bas on May-19-2009 22:12:

Unfortunately there's no way to know for sure what lead up to those events because the guy decided to bust out the camera when he was getting harrassed and not when he initially got pulled over. Therefore it leads me to believe that he started something and couldn't find a way out, and that point are you really going to win? No. You're going to get tased and post it on the internet for 50% of the world to laugh at you and the other 50% to say YAH MAN FUCK THE POLICE MAN FUCK THEM MAN THEY DIDN'T NEED TO DO THAT MAN.

Bullshit. Homeboy had it coming.

Also, Arizona sucks.

Maybe these are reasons why crime is down? Just a thought; not my endorsement of such actions.

Irvine has no reason to worry. They have so little to do, they pickup homeless people to move them to another city. All of South OC is like this. They just have fuck all to do. These are areas that are all upper middle class, people making 100k+/yr.

Obviously Ian has nothing to hide, but what about the rest of the population? Especially in the dodgy as fuck parts of England? Some 15 year old girl was raped in Liverpol because United won last weekend, where were the CCTV cameras to protect her?

You're ignorant if you think it is okay for personal liberties to be entrenched upon just because conservatives want to regulate things you can't control.

UK = Minority Report. The more you get the "if they have nothing to hide..." mentality ingrained into the fabric of society, the more you move towards a society such as that. One that you regulate the potential for crime, not actual crime.

Then don't commit crimes imo

Unless that crime involves narcoitcs. Sweet, delicious narcotics.

In Minority Report, people didn't. They were accused of pre-crime. They hadn't even committed a crime, nor violated any laws.

But that's science fiction, obviously this isn't pre-crime. Just super crime preventative.

lol doesn't matter if that is sci-fi. The point is, we can't be these crazy puritanical motherfuckers with all these control devices. It is a slippery slope. Say no to big brother.

the pastor is one of the 'god hates fags types'. fuck him, i'd tazer him just for being a cockhead.

Posted by Joss Weatherby on May-19-2009 23:18:

Never mind if the guy is a dbag...

They do these check points up here too. Its fucked up beyond belief.

A friend of my moms was heading to the Olympic peninsula and they had a checkpoint on the Hood Canal bridge. She was driving college students to a plant nursery and two of the students were exchange students. They didnt have their passports or visas on them or anything, not even thinking they'd be asked to show them.

The border patrol agents went fucking ape shit. Pulled her out of the car, threatened to arrest her for trafficing illegals, all sorts of stupid shit. She didn't even do anything to resist or argue with them, when the two people said they were exchange students and didnt have ID when they were asked the agents just flipped.

The federal government can set up border checkpoints 50 miles (it might be more, I cant remember if its 50 or 100) from the border. How the border between the US and Canada sets up in the water off Seattle they could put a checkpoint in downtown Seattle. Think thats insane? They set up a checkpoint in the middle of Forks, Washington and demanded papers from everyone who went down town.

Its bullshit. They were doing random checks on the ferries up in the islands and one of my dads clients (school district) said he had mexican students families afraid to leave their houses. The ICE agents even went to the schools on San Juan and asked for the names of all the students at the school. The principal at the high school freaked and called my dad and my dad told the agents to fuck off. There is nothing illegal about undocumented workers childrens attending school.

This is an invasion of the states right to govern and protect its territory. Federal immigration agents should be at the border and other ports of entry and no place else.

Apparently a coast is considered a border also. So this then puts something like 80% of the US population within that zone.

Yep. Total shit. The feds need to stay the fuck out of our local law enforcment unless there is an obvious and just reason for them to be there (emergency, assisting an on-going investigation, etc).

By state law, by federal law the undocumenteds shouldn't be there, and their children attending might be grounds for suspicion that the illegals are residing within the US ... but I know what you are saying.

By state and federal law it is required to provide education for all children. No questions asked. ICE agents attempting to intimidate a school is ethically wrong, and at worst a violation of state and federal laws.

The sound the dude makes when he gets tased is ridiculous.

The guy should of just gotten out of his car. The car would have been checked and he would have been on his way.

I never understood why people that have nothing to hide give law enforcement a hard time. If you are resistant, then of course you are going to get beaten down because you are acting guilty. Now if this dude was at his house and they came barging into his house it would be different.

There is no good reason to set up random checkpoints outside of ports and borders.

You should do your research. The 4th amendment protects against UNLAWFUL search a seizure. Just because they tell you to strip, does not necessarily, situation permitting, mean you are required to strip. You need to really stop.

Did you pay any attention to his post? They weren't fucking undocumented. They were FOREIGN EXCHANGE STUDENTS! wtf man.
