i dance like a prick

I don't really dance because I just don't know how to. That and I'm self-conscious some of the time. I have rhythym for sure, but I'm just not that creative on the dance floor. I'll bob and and move a little in my own spot, but that's about it.

Unless I feel like gliding across the floor. Don't know why I can do that LOL.

So what? I always thought it was about having fun, not looking good.

Apart from that the really important question that needs to be answered is whether Ania dances to remember or to forget.

That's why I bounce and sway a little in my own spot. The music alone makes a night out fun for me. Dancing? I can take it or leave it. I'll get all \o/ if I'm really into the moment.

I look goofy while doing my whatever the fuck you want to call it. aka some sort of bob. lol

i danz like this usually

sometimes i'll throw in some poppin & locking and some classic disco moves

Posted by enydo on May-22-2009 19:10:

Personally, I'm not at all concerned with what I look like while dancing, I'm usually just lost in my own little world while doing it. I love moving my body to music and I'll do whatever it is the music makes me feel like doing at that moment in time.

I don't understand people who show up to shows and don't dance once, not at all. They head to the bar, grab a beer, and then sit in the corner headbobbing eyeing everybody else. That just seems so boring.

Wood paneling and indoor grass FTW. Perfect place to eat a bag of mushrooms. Wanna see me dance? That's the scenario right there!

Don't forget the classic La-Z-Boy recliners and the old Trinitron tv that probably smells like robots.

I've had people come up to me and ask why I'm not dancing. A couple of times I've said, "because I'm a DJ." Both times they seemed satisfied wtih my answer.

as a dj wouldn't you feel the music ? i can't wait for the subway or pause in the gym while listening to a good song without at least tapping my feet or moving my body some little bit. i personally can't stop moving...

I'm so sick of shufflers/tronik (I think that's what they call it) dancers. They've turned dancing into this formulaic way of dancing that everyone seems to think is THE way to dance.

House stepping on the other hand...that's soulful. Here's some friends from a few years back.

I didn't mean that I cared. I couldn't care less what I look like. As long as I am having fun, that is all I care about.

Posted by enydo on May-22-2009 20:26:

I didn't think you meant that.

I have been on a roll this week. I have not properly reading shit on TA too much. Time to take a break? yeah I think so. lol

+1

I have no idea if I would try to dance if I was drunk as hell though. I've never been in a place where they play good music and even if I'm drunk, I won't dance to that shit.

And when I get the chance of being in a good place, with fucking awesome music, I can't drink because I have to drive my way back right after the party

Posted by Dervish on May-22-2009 20:37:

I dance. Lots. All the the time. And I really know I do it badly. But I don't care.

Have just went for it on my own before. But who gives a fuck, life is not a spectator sport. Why watch when you can do eh?

Quite often just totally take the piss. I prob do look like a retard though. Hahahaha

Posted by Vivid Boy on May-22-2009 20:41:

I dont dance unless its with a girl im out with.

thats the only exception and Im usually drunk too.

if im at a club Im usually a social butterfly talking my ass off cracking jokes with people. I dont go to clubs to feeeeel the music. pfft. Im at clubs to meet new people and have a good time.

"leave me alone girls im in my zone..in my dance zone"

Yes, I do "feel" the music, but it's completely mental for me. I have a hard time expressing it physically. I "see" music in a linear format and I think of everything with a mathematical point of view. Dancing is neither linear nor mathematical (outside of the rhythm) and it feels foreign to me if I try it.

Posted by enydo on May-22-2009 20:45:

I'm sorry you feel that way.
