This was my first time at Footwork and I must say it was fucking awesome!!! Me and my friend came down that morning from ottawa and walked around TO all day, had dinner and then headed to the club so we were a bit tired from the 5+hr drive and like 10 hrs of walking around lol but we trooped it out and had a fucking BLAST. Like someone said earlier, loco knows how to drop a fucking bassline. I've been dying to see him for a while and he sure didn't disappoint...
I also think there was a few tracks which sorta brought the energy down at times but he would pick it right back up with a sick track and had the whole club rocking hard. Needless to say, mixing was totally on point.
Me and my friend were getting real fucking tired and my whole body was aching but we couldn't leave. Every time we were like k 15 more mins and he just kept pullin' us back in lol... met some cool people, had plenty of fun, sick beats and it was just straight good times, can't wait to be back again!! we lasted till about quarter to five or some shit but we were beat and had a bus to catch at 630am back to ottawa eeeeek. We had no idea he would play till 630 that's awesome!!! woulda made an effort to stick around had I known
Will be back to Toronto this summer fa sho
Edit: forgot to say, really liked the club. Layout is very nice, dancing room is maximal and I love the dark vibe to it with few lights, suits it very nicely. Only complaints are that it was very hot in there.... and that shit dripping from the ceiling is RANK lol. Couple a fans and some ventilation wouldn't hurt now would it?? hahaha only complaint though.
Also, if anybody has more pics/vids from that night I'd love to see em so please post!!!

I've actually never experienced a weather system in footwork, ever.
But likewise, I kinda like the heat, it does make going outside feel better.
Loco Dice is bad, bad man.
My first time seeing him, and WOW!!!
I've only heard some of his remixes and and knew very little about him. I'm glad I trusted my gut instinct and went.
This past Saturday made me feel like I was 18 again....I haven't been to a "banger" like that since forever.
IMO, his set was AMAZING!!!! He even threw in some Ben Watt and Blaze near the end. What the??
The people that night were awesome. I've been to FW maybe 2-3 times before. This was by far, my best experience.
Big shout out to Nelly (bartender), Joanna, Kersey, Sue, the 2 girls from MTL (Charlie n ??), and all the rest of the sexy people there that night.
LOCO DICE is the shit.

I don't think i've ever had a bad time there......EVER. great club, great music, great vibe, AMAZING ppl. def. come back soon! |
This is wayyyyyyyyyyyy over due.
Wow. Amazing night.
Im in love with the Junkies. Im going to be Mrs.Junkie soon. They have been on fire the last few weeks. Val played some delicious tunes.
Some good basey tunes. Perfect way to start up the night
Loco came on and BAAMMMMMMMMMMM! Sexy techy tribeish tunes. The vibe was incredible. Everyone was smiles, fists pumping, people jumping, random screams of exciting. The floor was just wild.
To quote a favourite movie "the bass was so deep you could hear the vibes in Jamaica"
I couldnt get over the sounds I was hearing. The tribal elements were so sexy but the tech made it hard and dirty. He played things that were so twisted, deranged but it sounded sooooo good.
....
but half way through his set he lost me. It was up and down. I felt like he took things away to fast... I would be like "yes, yes yes... ohh noooooooooo
"
I lost interest and headed outside for awhile only to come back to the room in full gear again. The dance floor was packed at 5am! I dont think Ive ever seen it that crazy.
He played one track around 5:30 that was just AMAZING. A reggaeish sounding track with the word 'Freedom' very present. I loved it.
Left a 5:45 a very happy girl.
Ps. This frog came out of no where and licked me
Some pics from the beautiful Jill Dennis:

^ I'm pretty sure he bit his tongue every time he did a mix
