Yea, and when that one nuke draws Japan to make 100 nukes and then China gets flustered and expands its already fairly large nuclear stockpile and then South Korea freaks and everyone has nukes in the North Pacific Ring. That should just be dandy.

The point is we dont need more nuclear armed countries. It sucks that they were invented but so far the ones that have them have shown restraint on using them. The more countries that have them the greater chance something bad can happen where they are used.

So its not a matter of us having them and they not having them, its a matter of no one else should have them and we should all work at minimizing our stock piles.

It's more or less like the cold war. It's all about stock pilling all the arms.

Look at the Kalasnikov 47 out there. You can get one for the price of a chicken in some countries. It's god damn everywhere.

All the cold war military arms are being sold to smaller countries to fulfil there war and genocide.

ok, go back to watching Lord of War and when you realize that nuclear weapons arent actually used in war, but are more of a political tool then come back and discuss.

I never said it was used it war.

There has been some other time where some nukes were used.

The chinese were tired and frustrated with the Russians crossing there borders to reach a certain destination. So they basically nuked there own territory so that NO russian soldier can go through.

No, all the Chinese tests were conducted at Lop Nur, which isnt even close to the Russian/Chinese border.

North korea is just bein a lil bitch trying to grab attention. They'r also not stupid to enough to use those nukes unless they want to commit national suicide. And we all know the primary concern of the nk regime is the preservation of their power.

Personally, this is no threat.

I think that peaceful discord and UN Sanctions will keep us all safe. Obama was so right to leave our nation defenseless by shutting down the missile defense program. I mean, who needs that kind of stuff when TALK is soooooooooo effective. That and the mighty UN.

Fuckin wanker.

I think NK pretty much knows if they launch a missile at the USA, it's all over for them. They'r crazy, but they aren't stupid...

Making a nuclear warhead is one thing, delivering it is another. There's no way they'd have the capability of firing something at the US... south Korea or Japan maybe. And even that would be enough of an excuse for the rest of the world to take them down.

Yea, the north koreans are years away from the technology to miniaturize their nuclear weapons enough to make them missile deliverable.

I'd expect at least 4 or 5 more tests before they get there. I mean the US and Russia were testing warhead design in underground test all the way up to the early 90's. Its not an easy process and you have to use some pretty tricky physics to get the physics package (thats the functional bit of the warhead) that small.

I mean they aren't even close to having a thermonuclear weapon yet. When they get a workable, dry fuel thermonuclear weapon then they can get moving on making the other bits smaller. Till then anything they get on a rocket that can reach even Japan will be a relative firecracker.

and even then the Russians couldn't get their missiles to be as accurate as the Americans' that's one if the reasons our payloads were ridiculously big.. To make up for lack of accuracy with a larger blast radius

Yea on average Russian warhead have a higher yield, and they also targeted more warheads per target than western systems did.

CEP for russian systems is somewhere in the 50% to 75% larger range than its western counter parts.
