I know I'm going to cop some for this, but John Stewart. Shouting a punchline doesn't make it funnier. And stating the bleeding obvious is also not particularly funny, nor clever.

I basically opened this thread in order to add him to the list.

If you remove him from his Dennis Miller Live territory and onto a stand-up stage, he really is quite a bore who just seems to come off as awkwardly out of place.

I'm not sure if it was his or HBO's idea, but it seems that the cancellation of his show back in 2001 or so was the worst thing that could have possibly happened to his career (except for this Netzero commercials...not that advertising for dial-up isn't cool, or anything).

While we're on the Dennis', Dennis Leary isn't particularly amusing.

Also, Jeff Foxworthy: I don't ever recall any of his material eliciting so much as a chuckle from me.

By the way, who's that well known female comedian with curly red hair, talks with manic speed, and makes most otherwise sane people want to jab a fork in their ear?

Yeah, her.

Rove McManus, Peter Helliar and Dave Hughes. I see no funny in them at all.

Dave Hughes did a good stand-up show back in the day, but yeah he's a fucking sell-out now. He's done pretty well for himself though. He was a smack addict and he didn't lose his virginity until well into his twenties. He lost it to a hooker too, just like pkc.

Yes! Female comedians talk about one of three things: their lesbianism (which 99% of them invariably are), their period, or their mother. I am sure that women could be funny if they talked about something else.

Also, Will Ferrell is a dipshit. Like Adam Sandler before him, his one-trick comedy was funny for a while but then just grew incredibly annoying.

LEWIS BLACK and DANE COOK

Two of the most overrated comedians on the planet. Their style is not content, it's 100% delivery.

Lewis Black thinks that he can take any subject, regardless of it's hilarity, and bitch and cry about it and wag his finger and it will be funny. I stopped liking Lewis Black after his first Comedy Central standup.

Dane Cook thinks he can take any subject... AND SHOUT IT AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS AND ACT REALLY CRAZY ABOUT IT OMGOMOGMOGMOMG THIS IS SOOOOOO FUNNY LOLOLOL!!! Dane Cook makes me sick, the death of comedy is in this man's hands.
