^i'm with you on the not wanting a diamond, specifically a big one. too expensive for no reason and imo boring.

well, the value is 20K but I paid about 14K for it. I flipped a house in 2006 and made a quick hunk of money, which is when I got it so I could pay for it in full. It's not "that" big... 2.4 karats but it's a flawless diamond which is why its worth so much.

given the quality, don't people stare at it? my co-worker has a diamond similar to the one you described and sounds like it would get annoying having people look at it and/or make snide remarks.

it's funny even though i'm not into diamonds and jewelry, at the same time, i don't like the look of little diamonds lol that's why i'm like just get me a BIG crystal one that is set in paltinum or whatever.

i like the huge rock look, but i'm too practical and cheap to really want one that is a real diamond.

i think ever since i was little i've always wanted just a white gold band but very thin & delicate. nothing fancy but its still pretty imo.

hmmm... no not really. she gets a lot of compliments but it hasn't got to the snide point; I guess because it's not gaudy in size.

My best friend's mom has a 5 karat boulder on her finger and I've seen it happen many times to her though... comments in the background where you can hear other women saying "there's no way that's real," in a condescending way. haha.. that shit is annoying.
