try hanging out on the nightclubcity forums all day and telling the Calderone nut lovers that Victor is not a techno DJ....

they think cause that Marco wanted to do a party with him at WMC that he is automatically a techno DJ....

Calderone is clearly inspired by Carola, Loco Dice, etc. You can hear that in his sets.

What's with the NSFW picture in this thread. Whoever posted that is a douche.

I also love how it's a return to live instruments, it creates more of a sexy groove rather than a weird melange of futuristic computer sounds... the glitch is still there, but it's all blended so well...

I do find the range of this trend tho to be very narrow and kind of a step backwards and forwards at the same time...

Yeah, I find that the music is becoming very organic instead of twisted computerized tech.

that I will agree with 100% since I have noticed the way he has been branching out his sound in 2006....

but the hoopla of him being labeled a techno DJ is alittle too much.

Yeah, I don't consider him a techno DJ. I'm his biggest fan, but he's still the same Victor instead he plays techno. He still plays tracks with rolling basslines, he layers tracks, he puts diva accapellas over songs, etc.

His tech is nasty tho.

I will not dispute that as well....

it just amazes me that myself being a VC fan since 97 when he was producing and playing alot of progressive house, tribal and other generes as well that you have these sheep come out and say Victor was always a techno DJ....

funny considering his Essential mix was far from techno and his nights at ARC and Roxy were not known for the techno he played
