Do you need more than 64 tracks? I think that's a LOT. Ive never even used more than 10.

kontakt and battery insist on at least 8, unless you can disable those somehow.
Can't think of anything else that has already been said but try some parallel compression and play around with the different verbs you've already tried and see if that does the trick.

I'm also not counting the extra tracks that a lot of instruments create that you don't really need. Sometimes you can't configure it. The Virus Powercore forces 4 tracks, I think Absynth used to force 3, many samplers insist on using at least 4, and so on. Even if they're technically doing nothing, they still eat away at resources. So yeah, it's possible to go above 64 tracks with software alone, and very very easy to do once you start adding hardware. |

"Track" is a channel that's routed either to another channel for processing or to the master channel. The term "track" is a carryover from the old multitrack tape recording, where the "track" number referred to how many different channels of audio you could record at once -- "eight track recording," "sixty-four track recording," and so on. The point of multitracking was that it allowed bands to re-record or edit individual parts rather than doing the whole song over and over again.
Also, In battery 3. How do you send different parts of the kit to different FX Inserts in FL's Mixer?
Also fuck, Battery 3 can't be automated in FL

Man just use Battery with multiple outputs! once u do that youll never look back...
Well, I can't Automate Battery 3 in FL Dunno why, Battery 2 would automate fine iirc and its a VSTi not DXi, DXi can't be automated anyways. Which is a bigger problem than before. I can still use all the samples however. And I can use battery for making dnb, as I rarely if ever automate individual samples when I do DnB.

What are "Tracks"? My understanding in this case is track = song. But apparently I missed something. Would track correspond to say how many instances of z3ta I can run? Or how many generators you have? If that is the case, fl doesn't have a limit. I can check. |

Fucking hell you are delusional

Oh good lord, I thought we'd actually make it four pages without this happening again.

Well I think the "trash" talking mentioned refers to previous threads and was the impression given when you were discussing the advantages of FL.
In fairness, what Diginut is getting at is that you are going to have trouble convincing people you know the subject matter (of sequencers) when you are questioning basic terminology such as (i.e. "track = song" or "every synth I've ever used only has one insert"). You wouldn't ask those things if you knew etc.
on topic, I think the specific problem to your question is that FL does not allow multiple outputs, which basically means a huge part of battery is unused.
One thing I'm confused about is that you're saying you can run an unlimited amount of softsynths but you only have 64 tracks max - mulitple softsynths on one track?
i don't know about battery but you can use multiple outputs with FL studio, just check the "enable multiple outputs" on the FL wrapper(battery channel)
and if battery allow that, you can move the knob you want to automate and go to the wrapper and click "create automation clip"
and btw you can use all mixer channels as send,buss,...
