Sure as hell gets the job done, doesn't it? We don't live in a perfect world, and there are too many times where words and reason won't work. It's just human nature.

Your justifying an old lady being tasered by a trained personnel because the cop used "reason" to convince her to comply? If threat of electrical shock is "reason" to you then your reason is of amazon jungle not the "reason" that has been brought forth by the great minds of the last 2000 years. If you tell your child not to put their hand on the stove, repeat it 5 times and they do it anyways you would use your full force and kick them in stomach? Human nature is flawed, and the point is to learn some self control, self discipline, and live with a strong sense of ethics. Not the "reason" of the jungle.

He could have told her that there were serious implications if she did not comply and threatened her with a more reasonable approach such as being handcuffed arrested and charged with further offenses. As countless people have said, if he could not take care of that old lady then hes the definition of a fat, lazy, donut eating, power tripping piglet. Do you people have no sense of Morality what so ever? I guarantee you if that was your Grandma being treated with such disrespect you would have a totally different opinion on this. Shes 72, senile, you blame her for being a little crazy?

Grow the fuck up

She brought it on herself. If she would have just co-operated with the officer and signed the stupid speeding ticket then there wouldn't have been a problem.

Although it may have been excessive she was warned several times that her failure to co-operate would result in her being tasered.

I wouldn't want to be a cop...especially in the states...even some 72 year old grandmas carry guns.

Grow the fuck up

Look at how fucking dumb you are.

You cannot possibly compare that child/stove thing to this situation. If for some reason you believe that it is equal, then I hope you get hit by a goddamn bus and erased from the gene pool, or somehow otherwise sterilized due to your blatant goddamn stupidity.

I have all kinds of fucking morality, you pile of shit. She was told 5 TIMES. FIVE. FIVE TIMES. She did not comply. She then got what was coming to her. I don't give a shit if she's 72 years old. She definitely had her wits about her in the interview, thus she knew what was going on. She fucked up. End of story.

Maybe you should quit living in a goddamn fantasy world where people don't do bad things and shit like this doesn't happen. I think it's you that should grow the fuck up.

who cares if he said it once, five times or a hundred times.

take it to the extreme. if he told her 10 times that he'd shoot her if she didn't comply, does that justify shooting her when she doesn't? NO. so it's not that he told her 5 times that he'd taser her that makes it ok or not, so get off that point as justification.

what he said is not what justifies subsequent action. THE SITUATION is what dictates justifiable action.

there is no way in fuck this cop could not have just cuffed her with a *wee* bit of force. oh, grandma might have struggled and perhaps even got in a slap or two before he was successful...but if this pathetic piece of shit is incapable of cuffing a surly old lady putting up a fuss over a traffic ticket, then perhaps he's in the wrong line of work.

"even some 72 year old grandmas carry guns"

are you fucking kidding me??? lol. sure, ANYONE could have a gun. SO TASER EVERYONE!!!

ffs...get a grip.

Do you just choose not to see the part about this that outrages people? It's not about the fact that she was told 5 times... it's that the taser was used to coax someone into compliance rather than defusing a potentially deadly situation.

I would say that anyone who believes that human beings are little more than cattle to be shocked into submission for disobeying orders... are the ones that should be removed from the gene pool.

I don't care how old the stupid bitch is....if she just signed the ticket there would have been no issue. I hope they decide to charge her with assault. It honestly looked like she thought she shouldn't get a ticket because she is an old lady. She broke several laws and she should have to pay for each one of those laws she broke.

I srsly in awe with some of the responses here, wow.

What a retarded old woman she is. I fucking HATE grumpy/disgruntled old people who just complain and are so fucking pessimistic. Bitch got what she deserved - maybe it gave her brain a good kick start.

^ Stephan what if that was your grandma?

My grandma wouldn't be that dumb and would comply so she wouldn't be in that situation to begin with lol

I don't really see the point of your question. Of course it would not have been acceptable to shoot her, but he didn't shoot her.

You could frame a question like this for just about any situation. If a confrontation requires the use of force, and the only means of force available is a gun, is it OK to use it? Probably not, that is why they make sure to have other means available!

Is profanity the only way you can try and make a point point? Totally dismissing my point of view because you don't agree with it and cussing the shit out of me is something kids do in in grade 10.

Whether she had her wits about her is not the point. I never stated any point of view on whether I believed she was behaving properly or not. If i were in her shoe's I would have signed the ticket and left. she's 72, you don't know what state she is in mentally and you have no right to speak for her actions. If you believe what she did deserved being tasered, then those "all kinds of fucking morality" you claim to possess are the exact kind of morals that have put the world into the this imperfect state.

Resolving situations with unnecessary brute force is what fat bullies do in school because their parents didn't love them enough. It's the most immature thing any person could possibly resort to. He's a cop, there to "serve and protect". Not to taser harmless old women no matter what kind of justification you try to put on it.

I used that child/stove thing to prove that there are proper ways to resolve conflict and to get people to behave the way you want.

Go fuck yourself you ape. Mankind will never progress through this century with hardheaded mongrols like you.

Remember that little girl in elementary that kept lying all the time and blamed you for the trouble she did at recess?

Remember that bully bitch in early high school that stuck gum in your hair, made fun of you in front of all your friends and emotionally abused you?

Remember that cvnt in university who stole your boyfriend from you?

These bitches eventually become granmas too.

This is one of them, and has been being a bitch to everyone for 72 years.
