Just trying to raise some pro-cricket sentiment hehe. Comparing the batting specifically however, I do think that baseball is more one dimensional than cricket. To open yourself up to take a full swing in cricket is very risky thing to do, and the 360 versus 90 degrees of hitting space allows for more possibilities. But then again, you got elements strategic bunts and gaps for base hits in baseball as well, plus strategic baserunning. |

Because when you hit it to the stands, the batter runs through all 3 bases then back to "Home" plate. Thus, a Home Run.

i thought this was a cricket thread, but then found out you were talking 20/20 instead.
I watch a bit of this stuff as it's on late in the evening here, but when the tests in SA or UK are on I'll probably be up until 3am watching most days.
Last ashes series in england was awesome, followed by a very dissappointing return series in oz.
is there a steroids problem in cricket? probably not, you pussies. if you ain't cheatin' you ain't tryin'!

it's easy to miss them out. Very easy. But one team missed out in my list doesn't make your argument about baseball being better true. Nothing does.

| Originally posted by Sweet Death If you are going to list Canada as a cricket playing country you might as well just paste in a list of every country in the world, especially ones with any significant South Asian immigrant population. Canada has a MLB team, so if anything it's more a baseball than cricket country (but it isn't really either). |
