Sweet just so you know the draft is sept 5th (saturday) morning I believe at 11am. Right before electric zoo! Can't wait to put the smack down on you AJ lol

Taso is signing up in the next day or so, so we have 9 we need a tenth.

can we do the draft friday night or monday labor day? I'll be driving up for electric zoo around the time of the draft sat.

Dude we already changed the date and time so many times. A few of us already have another draft on Friday and I'll be out of the country on Monday. Hummm not sure man. Nobody is really going to Electric Zoo that early bro. Either leave your place later or drive up earl and come to my place. You can draft your team from my computer. Bunch of people are meeting up here anyways. Will that work for you?

My suggestion...$300 for winner, $100 for 2nd, $50 for best regular season record, $50 for most regular season points. More winners makes it more competitive

There has been a question about the Waiver status of DROPPED players from team rosters and if there is a waiver period for FREE AGENTS.

Based on this info I think the only thing we need to discus is if we want to keep a WAIVER period for DROPPED players, and if we do for how long, we have to option of 1 day - 7 days to be placed on a waiver.

LET ME KNOW BY WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23. Majority RULES as to what we do.

League Rules as they stand now:

1. Free Agents: A free agent is any UNOWNED player and are a FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVE basis (NO waiver period)

2. Players on a WAIVER: Any player DROPPED from a teams roster is immediately placed on a 1 DAY waiver period (So, if a player is dropped on a Wednesday afternoon, all managers can claim him until Thursday at 11:59 pm PT)

See the Yahoo League Rules Below:

FREE AGENTS: All unowned players who have cleared waivers are free agents and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. You can pick up or drop players by simply clicking the "Pick Up Player" or "Drop Player" links located near the top of your Team Page. All claimed players are immediately added to your bench. It's up to you to move them to starting positions.

If a manager adds and drops a player on the same day, that player will not be placed on waivers but will be available to the league as a free agent. This prevents managers from locking key free agents on waivers so other managers cannot add them.

WAIVERS: All players dropped from a team's roster are immediately placed on waivers. During this waiver period -- ONE DAY -- anyone in the league can place a claim on the player.

So, if a player is dropped on a Wednesday afternoon, all managers can claim him until Thursday at 11:59 pm PT. The player will then be assigned to his new team roughly 4-8 hours after the claim deadline.

If a manager adds and drops a player on the same day, that player will not be placed on waivers but will be available to the league as a free agent. This prevents managers from locking key free agents on waivers so other managers cannot add them.

To find the length of the waiver period in your league, check the League Settings page, which can be found via a link on your League Overview page.

If more than one manager claims the same player, the team that is highest on the Waiver Priority List is given the rights to the player. The priority list is initially set based on the reverse of the draft order. However, each time you add a waived player to your roster, you're pushed to the back of the list, so the team with the lowest waiver priority will always be the team that completed the last successful waiver claim. This "rolling" list stays in effect for the entire season.

Your current position on the waiver priority list will be displayed along with your league standings.

If nobody claims a player during the waiver period, he becomes a free agent. In a Custom League with no waiver period, all dropped players automatically become free agents.

If you place a player on waivers, you cannot reclaim that player until after the waiver period has expired. If, however, you decide that you don't want to waive the player, you can cancel the transaction -- provided it has not yet been processed -- by viewing it from your team page and clicking on "Cancel."

If you place a claim on more than one waived player at a time, each pending transaction will appear on your Team Page along with its current position in your waiver order. All new claims get appended to the end of the list, but you can alter this priority by viewing each pending claim and changing its priority in the box provided.

These are the 3 Waiver options we have:

NONE (Which we currently have)

Sunday - Tuesday: Means all unowned players will be placed on waivers at 10:00am PT each Sunday with the claim period ending at 11:59pm PT on Tuesday.

First game of the week - Tuesday: Means all unowned players will be placed on waivers at the start of the first game for that week with the claim period ending at 11:59pm PT on Tuesday.

1. Do we want to change the Waiver option mid-season?

2. If we change it, what will we change it to?

So far we've heard from about half the league. If we make the change it would go in to effect for next week, Week 3.

My vote is to change it, I don't think that we are that far into the season that we couldn't change it. I personally usually sit at home watching the games, but that's my choice on how I want to spend my Sunday, but not everyone does it. To make it more competitive I don't have a problem changing the Waiver rules this season. To that point Ravi, I understand what you are saying about changing mid-season but it all evens out since we are all being put on the Waiver rule on the same week. Its not like some teams have this option for Weeks 1 and 2 and others don't.

I'll give everyone till Wednesday to give there input on the matter.

I have e-mailed everyone in the league, posted on TA and on Yahoo and given ampule time to respond and feel if I don't get your input by Wednesday then you have no opinion on the matter.
