When of the best labels for dark prog and tribal was Baroque Records back in early to mid 2000.

Here is one of the gems from that label:

Precision - Where Do You Dance
PQM - Insane Poem (Stephane K Mix)
Phil K & Habersham - Cloud Break (Lexicon Avenue Remix)
Habersham and Jacob Todd - Nevermore (Original Mix)
Chris Micali - Your Life Better

Man... the memories.

DAMN I'll listen to all those phat tracks. they wont be ignored.

and to the bredda about christianity, Im just not on that spiritual level yet. I flip flop between secular and religious shit, so I cant call myself a genuine christian.

that bitch on love in traffic could give a good fuck too. obviously high when she sung that - she probably got smashed by the hentai king right after the recordings. DAMN!

OMG chooooooooooon! I used to love love love this song.

Hands down, best compilation of all time is Digweed's Bedrock with Digweed's GU in LA being a close second

His GU in LA is ridiculous. One of my favorite comps ever for sure. I actually haven't listened to Bedrock surprisingly...

I'm surprised that Peace Division has yet to be mentioned. Their releases over the past ten years have consistently been quality, especially their foray into darker Progressive with tunes such as Do You See Me which, to me, remains an absolute monster. Hell, I still play their remix of Roaches every once in a while and just today picked up their dub of Rui da Silva - Touch Me which, despite being eight years old, fits fantastically with a lot of what is currently out there.

I cannot begin to tell you how fucking fantastic that compilation is. I go apeshit every time I make it to Time Travel on the second disc. Bliss.

Posted by enydo on Jun-24-2009 07:18:

I am going to listen to it as soon as possible.

Yeah... just looked at the tl on wikipedia.

Heller & Farley - The Rising Sun (Bedrock Remix)

Most likely my top progressive track ever.

Peace Division had a very original and forward thinking sound, more along the lines of tech-house than straight up prog.

The Bedrock album is probably what got me into progressive, I surprisingly never got around to buying Digweed's LA comp.

I have more Peace Division records than any other artist. Somewhere around 30 of them including their original productions, solo projects, aliases, and remixes

Check out their really old stuff under the "Anti Trance Terrorists" alias. Some badass beats.

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Jun-24-2009 14:19:

I knew it wasn't the original Mattsanity, but you do like your pimp-ass dark prog, so I thought you might have got banned, nigga.

+1 on Peace Division, great couple of guys with rocksolid productions. I too have a ton of their records, sadly no Roaches remixes though (sorry Jake ). Sad to see the Peace Division name come to an end
