Thanks for the review kr00t. The Goa mix tends to be longer since the artifact that it represent is the biggest (that was the original idea)
. Also in the Progpsy mix all the tracks are labeled prog psy (from different periods actually, one of them is labeled very interestingly) but they do have some full on parts, like the bass line in some of them. Progpsy before was faster in BPM, ranging to 142+, so faster doesnt mean more full on!
Thanks for the feedback! I will post the tracklists later today since I am typing from my office computer!

You should keep an eye on them!
Bumping this to say that I added the tracklist in the OP and if anyone missed it to check it out!

My ancient artifacts compilation set reviews
just finished hearing the 5th piece which is the final mix of the ancient artifacts compilation
and Man, i must say, what an incredible journey these series of sets will take ur mind on
A Beautiful God-Inspired Rhyton: The first piece (which is the ambient set) is a very soothing set that is very gentle on the ears. Best to hear this set while out on the beach or something of the like
The Bull-Shaped Rhyton - The 2nd Piece (prog psy mix) picks up the pace from the first set and really sets in motion the beginning of the blissful psychedelic journey that lies ahead.
The tunes in this set flowed really well from being at the nice and deep levels and ending on melodic, energetic and nearly full-on territory. which is to where the horse-shaped rhyton (3rd piece) set comes into play.
The Horse-Shaped Rhyton (3rd piece) set is straight to the point, banging mix full of high energy full-on psy tunage that is guaranteed to make ur body rock.
Every tune on this set made u wanna bring out the glowsticks and rave rave rave!
The Jug Representing A Feast (the 4th piece - aka the suomi mix) is a verrrrry intriguing and highly experimental set that is packed with loads of experimental psy tunes and some very trippy psy tunes too. Definitely a set i would be interested to hear more of in a style like this.
and the grand finale. A Marvelous Silver Phaile (the 5th piece) would be the goa mix.
This set shows no mercy and gets straight to the mind-elevation tunage right away and constantly builds to more and more energetic and melodic goa tunes. I even recognized a few favorites of mine in this mix which would be: Filteria - The Big Blue, Jikooha - Super Secret Area 51 and Travma - Tesla (holy cow what a track this is
) This set is without a shout of a doubt my favorite of them all
Overall, i enjoyed all these artifact sets very much and these Shall most definitely be getting some replay time on my ipod in the future. This is most definitely ur best work of the year Mag.
I look forward to another compilation of this sort to arrive from you again in the future.
5/5 is my score for this awesome treat of sets with various styles
Thanks for sharing these brilliant mixes with us Mag _O_

listened to the whole shebang in two sessions, nice job on the technical side of things, heard a few uneven mixes but generally u kept a good continuous flow throughout some six hours.
on the selection... the new goa stuff... some of it is absolutely wicked, dont get me wrong, but it's a bit like listening to your average drumnbass set these days... everyone is using the same production techniques, and so it all kind of sounds samey and - to me - a bit boring after a while. i feel it couldnt begin to capture the edginess and freshness that the old goa sound used to have... and still has really. most of the production is awesome, but technically and also in terms of the ideas the stuff is all just a tad too similar for me. no different with the progpsy and fullon sets, although it's quite a bit worse in those corners imo... they've been a bit 'stuck' for a while now. :/
the psybient set was great (like many of your mixes in that style), but the real gem in here is the suomi mix! wow... some of those tunes are just jaw-droppingly amazing, and the variety in sounds and influences is wicked, and while i dont think the style is anything new (the term 'suomi trance' i hadnt heard before, but the 'crazy' was done by the danes before the finns, the 'glitch' by ppl like infected, the 'mad sinister' by ppl like psyko disko, and the melodies are obviously goa-styled), it is refreshing because the suomi 'genre' doesnt seem to want to limit its output stylistically so that the only real common factor i can discern is a certain non-conformity. that's what goa used to do back in the day, and it's something which has been veeeery long overdue in psytrance! so yes, great stuff in that mix, some artists in there that i'll definitely be looking up in the future, thanks for that!
Thanks for the honest feedback. The suomi set is also my favorite since I had a lot of fun while mixing it. You should definitely keep an eye on that style, a lot of good albums are released. Since you are a goa lover, I would recommend you Tamlin's album Spectrogram. It has both suomi twisted stuff and goa influenced true psychedelia.
Again, thanks for the review! Cheers!
