-- NI Komplete $400!!!
Pages (3): « 1 [2] 3 »
This is terrible timing, but I'm really thinking about it....
...especially since I don't currently own ANY of those products.
There is a new Version of Battery 3 coming out. I got an email from NI two days ago letting me know there was a Beta version available.
-------
Dear BATTERY user,
The upcoming free BATTERY 3.0.5 update will bring crucial
enhancements to the leading percussion sampler. This
includes a revised sampling engine, support for Windows
Vista 64bit, and restored compatibility for Pro Tools
hosts under Mac OS X Leopard.
To ensure the best possible quality for this version, the
BATTERY team has decided to set up a public beta test.
This means that as a registered BATTERY 3 owner, you now
have the opportunity to download a fully functional 3.0.5
beta version from the NI website and test out all the new
capabilities right away.
Please note that even though the public beta version has
already undergone extensive internal testing, it is still
a pre-release version and should be used with caution in
performance-critical environments.
Important notes:
- The BATTERY 3.0.5 public beta version requires (and
overwrites) a previous BATTERY 3.0.x installation on the
same computer.
- Kits and cells saved with BATTERY 3.0.5 cannot be
reloaded with an earlier version of the software.
- If you want to revert to BATTERY 3.0.4 at any time, you
will have to delete/deinstall the 3.0.5 version, run the
master installer from the original DVD set again, then
install the latest official 3.0.4 update.
- There is no tech support given for the public beta
version. If you should encounter any technical issues with
this version, please submit your findings through the
"Public beta bug tracker" on the NI website for the
developers to look into. You will automatically receive an
email with the bug tracker login details after signing up
for the beta test.
On behalf of the BATTERY team, a big "Thank You" in
advance to everyone who joins this beta test to ensure
that BATTERY 3.0.5 will be the most powerful and robust
version ever.
Best regards,
Your Native Instruments Team

I ordered mine frmo the NI website, said 6 days, I waited nine then called them and they told me it was on backorder. this morning I got the email saying it was shipping, and got my tracking number. So if you are wondering how long it takes, you can flip back a few pages and look at the dates.

you give them a call?
mine got here yesterday, just started installing a short while ago...think I chose the wrong time of day to start--looks like it's going to take a little while!
They finally answered back, everything is good
Edit: just got this

contact us.
Just got mine through the post today
Question though...
I did the install of the first disc as required, but when the message said to insert the Battery 3 disc A, my Macbook Pro wouldn't eject the first install disc? In the end I quit out and it seems all the VSTs are installed.
Am I right in thinking that the extra discs are all sound libraries for the corrisponding VSTs? Do I have to now install them seperately, can I do this? I looked on the Battery disc and it seems it's just a huge sample library for Battery to me.
I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to all this, had friends install VSTs to my PC before, but now I've gone Mac I'm trying to learn it all on my own, it's about time.

Thats the thing, it won't let me eject even though the eject icon comes up, as it's running the install off the disc. I'm going to ask on the NI boards tomorrow but thought I'd ask here first.
you can always contact the NI Team or apple and they will gladly help you.
Just posted on the NI forums, lets so how long it takes a mod to reply...
