ya i dunno it sounds alright how it is even though it's tough to make out what's being said at times. sounds like you emphasized certain phrases, maybe bring those out a bit more?

Thumbs up

what a peice of shit!i dropped like a fly cuz of this crap music that i dont listen to on a regular basis.

...But seriously, it's pretty damn good, even though I really don't listen to this stuff on a regular basis.

Love how this one has started thus far, has that Apparat vibe I tend to indulge every so often.

Traktor Scratch Pro

Posted by MindShifter on Jul-08-2009 20:06:

ah - why the change? just the ease of being able to bring your entire library in a compact package?

Yeah, that and I have a nice laptop now so its like, why not?

I've been playing with it for a few months now just plugging my hard drive into other people's setups, and it just makes everything easier.

Played for 6+ hours at afters with it, so nice to have all my music in one place.

Questions:

As I understand it you brought your laptop (with Traktor Scratch Pro and your music) and plugged into the clubs mixer. Was another interface needed?

Can you recommend a small, portable mixer that is easy to travel with and can plug directly into a sound system?

Thanks.

With Traktor you just need CDJs/turntables and your laptop, purchasing Traktor Scratch gets you the control cds/vinyl and the Audio8 DJ box.

Basically what you do is plug your laptop into the box, the CDJs/turntables into these splitter type cords and those go into both the box and the mixer. You don't need a special kind of mixer to use it.

If you want to use Traktor Pro (which means no CDJ/vinyl control) you'd need to get some kind of MIDI based controller to plug into your laptop then back into the mixer.

That diagram is a little harder to read, but basically it's saying you don't need CDJs/turntables to control the software, you can do it with a MIDI controller of some kind.

trance

Clovis doesn't really define the stuff he plays nor listens to.

i'd personally call it techno. plain and simple.

Posted by bas on Jul-27-2009 20:31:

It's house.

Posted by R!CH on Jul-27-2009 23:04:

deep & tech house

nice mixing clovis, loved that markus fix track especially. the pace you played it is much better than what it was recorded at too

Its probably difficult to nail down since there are tracks from several styles. A sign of a good mix imo.
