UFC 100
Definitely watching this. I think Mir will beat Brock again. He looked great against Big Nog. GSP > Alves and Hendo > Bisping. I think Bisping is a prick and hope he gets his ass kicked by Hendo. I could be wrong in my picks because the guys are all good which makes this a great UFC card.
I almost forgot this to, Hendo has bad bjj defense and Bisping has really good and underrated bjj. This could also be a way Hendo goes down.
Mir by sub
GSP by sub
Hendo by UD
Fitch by KO
Akiyama by KO
Bonnar by KO

Is anyone here going to 101 in Philly?

| Originally posted by zizack Thats not true at all. Getting submitted 3 times in your entire career (by BJJ black belts no less) does not qualify you as having bad BJJ defense. On the contrary, if you look the the caliber guys he's fought over the years, and the grappling credentials of so many of those fighters, you'll see his BJJ defensive is actually awesome. |
Is any1 going to the UFC viewing party @ Radio City Music Hall?
I'm still debating if I should go there or go to the usual NJ bar [Pub 46] I go see the fights.

| Originally posted by noskizza idk if I'd say its awesome its good, but if anyone gives him trouble its bjj or jujitsu. Bisping is a black belt not only that but he's submitted half the dudes he beat. In my book that spells problems for Hendo. I think Hendo will get the better of the takedowns but in the end he's going down. |
Not in bjj but just Jujitsu.

I still think jujitsu can be used in the ufc, honestly there's some differences between bjj & jj. But its not like night and day, they still focus on takedowns, shooting, joint locks, chokes, just like bjj, just in bjj some things are done differently. I think imo to say its dated or not pratical is wrong. That's like saying judo isn't adaptable to the ufc. I do think you need more then a little jujitsu to win fights in the ufc. But knowing it won't hurt your chances of a win. But anyway were getting off topic I say war Bisping!!!

Any art can be used for Mixed Martial Arts. Of course yo have to master it first.
Take Lyoto Machida. Nobody in the world thought Karate would be effective in MMA competition. Since he was able to adapt his Karate knowledge to MMA, he's a HUGE puzzle for all fighters.
I gotta say I go by this movie line/quote by Bruce Lee. Both in Martial Arts & Music:
Teacher: What is the highest technique you hope to achieve?
Lee: To have no technique.
