I'd like to introduce you to our Creator.. but with all the idiots that come here I'll keep it to a bare minimum.

Life is a test, and your bipolar disorder is probably your toughest test to face. You see, when our temporary life on earth expires, we will eventually be faced with our God (our maker) and he will reward you for all the tests that you have passed in your lifetime.

So, try your best to cope with this disorder, which is caused by Satan's demons that try to make your life a living hell. I'm sure you must be extremely stressed with all of this happening, but, the least you can do is have faith in God and that he really wants you to pull through this unfortunate disorder. I can't imagine what it's like to be bipolar, but all I know is that once you survive this battle you won't regret it when you're in Heaven.

I'll pray for you, sincerely. This message is my personal testimony to you as I have encountered God on many occasions in my own life. He is there, and believe me, he is real, I hope you'll pull through and I'll see you on the other side

P.S. Just listen to your favourite trance tracks whenever symptoms arise.. I guarantee you it'll help calm it down.

I took a class at Stanford where we spent most of the quarter looking at the psyche of criminals on death row in CA.

When Reagan was governor, he cut out all of the programs and aid for mentally ill people. Oh what a hero. All the wage earners pay less taxes. Yay.

Now, most of the California prisons are filled with the mentally ill people who have no where to go, no help, many of whom are bipolar.

When you are manic you are not bound by law or rules. You think, yes! I can do it, I can do anything! The law says you cannot do this or you cannot do that. But you can! lol, the law is for others. You know you can do it!

If you take a yardstick and put it on the ground, I show you my life, it goes from 10 inches to 20 inches. 10 is low, 20 is high and 15 inches is normal. On that same yardstick, the bipolar person swings from 0 inches when depressed/suicidal to 36" when manic. Its beyond the realm of our comprehension. For society, the manic is the dangerous time but for the bipolar person, the depression is of course far more frightening.

Bipolar people have a shorter lifespan than other people.

My friend, I would recommend you to read this book entitled:

"The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren

Heck, go to Chapters or Indigo and buy it for like $10. I promise you that if you read this book completely, your life will be transformed.

I used to smoke weed and party every single day, but I found God one day and I have never been the same since. I am devoted to fulfill my life's purpose, which is to protect and help people who are vulnerable to sin, or more accurate, the Devil.

So, do me a favour and get that book! You'll never regret it!

Going political again I see. Blaming Regan for today's mentally ill prison populations in CA?

Prisons in every state are full of mentally ill people. Ronald wasn't governor of any of those states then or now, and those rates are even higher today than 25 years ago during his tenure. You've had plenty of Democrat leadership in CA between Regan and now, along with social programs for the mentally ill out the arse... so then why hasn't the problem been cleaned up if it was a Regan problem?

Yeah, your country doesn't take care of it's mentally ill population.

Don't get pissed at me, dude. I'm not American.

My recently brain damaged friend (Car crash = huge claim) bought a filipino wife, she get's up and vacuums at like 5am also.

you need to fathom what a spiritual person like him is saying.

demons are real. nightlife = devil's night

there was some hot ass chick that died last year in tdot from fucked up shit put in her drink and no one came to help her. that's the devil's plan right there.

Posted by yukii on Jul-11-2009 22:57:

there's a difference between spiritual and religious.
i think blaming whatever problems you've had on satan or demons is kinda childish. but whatever, it's peoples' beliefs.

Exactly- which is why you have little credibility talking about things in America that you don't really know about (and trying to make a partisan issue of it). Our country gives more overall dollars and has more taxpayer funded social programs for the mentally ill than any other country, I'd be willing to bet. Every state has scores of facilities for that stuff. How in the heck can you say the U.S. doesn't take care of it's mentally ill? What are you looking for, Utopia? There's only so much you can do... the bulk of people with severe mental disorders can only be helped to a point, and can't be expected to morph into rational, productive members of society anyway.

Money doesn't always equate to satisfactory results. I find it reprehensible that healthcare is the number one reason people go bankrupt in this country.

We take care of our sick. You don't. My roommate who is looking over my shoulder as I type, said this time, I shouldn't back down because your country does a very poor job of caring for it's mentally ill. (She has an MD and just finished her phd in psychiatry at Stanford.) And she is American.

But common sense, dude, if you took proper care of your mentally ill, they wouldn't be in prisons. You yourself said prisons in all of your states are full of the mentally ill.

Go figure.

I quote her.

God... enough of the "I went to Stanford" bullshit already. That doesn't equate to knowing your asshole from your elbow on everything. What a coincidence that you happen to have a roomate simultaneously reading this who just finished her MD in psychiatry. I ACTUALLY have psychologist and psychiatriast friends, one who worked as a prison psychologist for the California federal prison system for the last 5+ years (John Craig Williams, PsyD- look him up if you don't believe me)... so I'm going to call him and ask him his take on your roomate's comment, which I believe is bullshit (if she even exists). Then I'm going to report back to you so you can see the foolishness of your "know it all" comments. Ask your supposed roomate why she's in the field if she doesn't believe this country helps the mentally ill... and if she wants to call the millions of mental health professionals and social workers around the country to let them know they too don't know what the fuck they're talking about when they say they are making a difference.

Such a near sighted comment. "Mentally ill" is a very general statement. Yeah I said all prisons in every state have mentally ill popiulations... mentally ill people are just more likely to commit crimes compared to the general popluation, so of course there will be plenty of them in there. I also said each state has tons of taxpayer funded mental health facilities for those people. You can't say if we took care of them, they wouldn't be in prison... that's a shortcut to thinking. You are assuming that irrational people can be taught to think and behave rationally; perhaps some can through truly self motivating behavior management and a pharmaceutical cocktail; but generally speaking, the severely mentally ill can only be managed for the most part.

Posted by Echo of Silence on Jul-11-2009 23:42:

Oh, so if they can only be "managed," they can only be managed by prisons?

lol, okay.

I think you should take a second to reflect on the spelling of your savior's name.

Also, I know like professors and shit, I'm going to call them all and get them to tell me that your friend in that field is WRONG so nanna-nanna-booboo! But don't you come back at me with credentials, because all your credentials are LIES!

lol... what?? No I didn't say that either. Behavior Management programs are available for all types and degrees of mental illness like agoraphobia or OCD or dependant personality disorder- all mental illnesses by definition that have treatment at their disposal. You aren't going to find many of those people in prison. I'm just saying with the severely mentally ill (schizophrenics for example), you can only hope to manage their behavior for them to be productive members of society to some degree. And the best way to do that is through a combo of intense therapy/behavior management and pharmaceuticals. States get millions of federal dollars each year to fund these programs and ficilities that are available to a much higher standard than most other countries. Could they be better? Sure, it can always be better but it could also be a hell of a lot worse (see Russia).

Look, it's just a fact that the mentally ill commit crimes at a higher rate than the general population... naturally you're going to have them in prisons. For those who commit violent crimes, like it or not, you have to keep most of them behind bars because they can't be rehabilitated like some rational minded people can; the recidivism rate has got to be through the roof too. Put them into a minimum security facility and they're going to escape; we can't just let them roam the streets because they have a mental illness that isn't their fault.
