As you know our events are free when possible but this one won't. We simply have too many costs involved. Unfortunately, we will not be able to make any exceptions. However, there are a limited amount of reduced admission pre-sale tickets available. We are encouraging people to pick them up since its a limited capacity event. Let me know if you have any issues getting them. Cheers!

not even for your badass korean friend?

|| Max Jacobson ||

Max Jacobson is a young up and coming producer located in the city where house music got its start, Chicago. Max was born and raised in the Metro Detroit area and around the ripe age of 17 he attended his first Detroit Electronic Music Festival. It was at this festival where he attended an afterhours party and got exposed to techno thanks to the early morning sounds of Dan Bell and Richie Hawtin. He was overwhelmed with these raw organic sounds he heard and he started to DJ a year later. After four months of djing he started a local night at bar in his college town. Being a creative person Max sold his decks and began to focus on production a year after he started DJing.

He relocated to Chicago in 2007 and started diving deeper and deeper into the realms of music production and creation. His sound can be characterized as a mixture of deep tech house and techno. Recently he has started to play live/dj sets that encompass tracks by other artists and as well as his own loops over these tracks creating a unique and diverse sound that can range from deep Chicago house to raw modern techno. The 22 year old currently attends art school in Chicago where he studies music. Be on the look out for his releases coming out on Klectik and other labels as well as live performances.

|| Ariel Frank ||

Ariel Frank is a Partner with Mathias Matthew on the Chicago based Label and Promotion Agency, Migrashun (Migrashun.com). The particular sounds in his sets transcend from the 14 years he spent between Cannes (southern France), Rome, and Tel-Aviv. Currently based in Chicago, Ariel plays Deep-Tech, Tech-House, and Techno which come together to create a sunny atmosphere.

His musical background stems from an early interest in composing and playing guitar. In the mid 90s, he was turned on to House in France after hearing artists such as Cerrone, Daft Punk, St. Germain, Robert Miles, and Moby. Ariel has been more active in the US EDM scene since 2006 while he lived in Washington DC. After moving to Chicago he found a mentor in Mathias Matthew. His current ambition is to make Chicago a new hub for quality Techno productions and events. His current influences are broad and include artists such as Dubnitzky, Gorge, MyMy, Masomenos, Ekkohaus, DJ Koze and more.

We have just received news that Ripperton will unfortunately not be able to make some of his US Tour dates including ours due to travel issues. With that, Migrashun has been working around the clock to find an appropriate replacement. We want to make sure our customers have an ample amount of time to be aware of this change.

It is with great pleasure that we can announce Lucy (Stroboscopic Artefacts/ Perspectiv/Curle/Meerestief) from Berlin as our new headliner. We are flying him in on his first US appearance specifically for this event and this event only! As usual Migrashun promises a great night of quality music, great sound and wonderful people.

We pulled presale tickets off temporarily. Reduced priced tickets will be up shortly and we will let you know as soon as this happens.

Berlin - Stroboscopic Artefacts/Meerestief/Perspectiv/Curle

Luca Mortellaro alias "Lucy" was born in Palermo (Italy) in 1983. At 16, he embarked on his journey of musical creation by experimenting with sounds on his first analog synths. From these early experimentations he launched his career as a DJ at 18, whilst still living in his native Italy. However, it was only once he moved to Paris in 2006 that he decided to fully dedicate his life to electronic music. In 2007, he released his first EP, "Open House" (Qoki Records), which immediately drew the attention of renowned artists, such as, James Holden. Later Holden introduced Lucy's work to Raphael Ripperton, founder of Perspectiv Records, who immediately decided to release a second maxi "Glass Computer" on his label. "Glass Computer" is the result of collaboration with Rone (a creative partnership that also led to "Continuity Theory (for Adri)" on Curle). Lucy has recently been warmly welcomed aboard the label Meerestief, a relationship that has allowed him to continue to pursue his musical interests, and build on his commercial success with several releases currently in the pipeline. Constantly searching for innovative sounds, Lucy's dj sets and live acts combine techno, minimal, neo-trance and electro, to create a vibe that is simultaneously energetic and gliding.
