I'd rather do that than listen to any remix of his. Hopefully people will go back to caring about other stuff soon because this celebrity shit is well annoying

+1

these so called "tributes" which the DJs are playing are more like a disgrace to Michael Jackson's music.

Yeah, in you're opinion there shouldn't be a trance remix of a MJ track and you don't consider it as a tribute.
What about a heavy metal, jumpstyle or gabber remix then?
Would be easier to say what you consider a tribute, Dolly Parton singing Smooth Criminal?

If a DJ was a MJ fan or had great respect for MJ playing something as a tribute cannot be a disgrace.
Playing it because other DJ's do, doesn't show a lot of respect. But I guess most over here don't know the opinion of those DJ's about MJ.

Why can't they just play an original Michael Jackson song?

+1, you should hear the "Think Michael" mix that Jojo Flores posted on Facebook. Fucking atrocious, he didn't even try to mix the songs together. Guy has went on and on about how much he loved Michael and how he's going to drop MJ tracks at his gigs now. Now he's doing a "Think Bob" tribute to Bob Marley which should be even worse.

Its better than doing nothing, like pretending that nothing happened ... and he cant play original in ASOT because of obvious reasons, one of which is because its ASOT.

What are these obvious reasons?

He already stated one of them: that it's ASOT.

I mean, it's not like the show's called A State Of Michael Jackson.

He's saying it's better to acknowledge M.J. is dead by playing a trance remix of his song, unlike acknowledging he was alive by playing any of his music before.

Wait, huh? 'What' indeed.

Very original to play an original version every radio station is playing all day long. I rather hear a remix, even if I don't like it that much.

Posted by trancedanne on Jul-17-2009 18:38:

exactly, as if we havent heard enough micheal jackson music at lately

If you had a tiny notion of what being a good DJ is, you would understand the point that Clovis is making.

i heard a radioshow of a trance dj doing a tribute, i don't recall who right now but he played original tracks but poorly mixed together. it was kinda lame actually

EDIT:
found it
