Memories of TOTABBQ 2006. Best TOTA event EVAR

On plus side, if it wasn't for cool weather, Toronto would be MUCH more smelly. Mmmm... garbage stench

Posted by gummybear on Jul-22-2009 18:48:

i'm so sick of this shitty weather and feeling cool air on my skin..wtf..give me some warmth!!

Posted by infinity HiGH on Jul-22-2009 18:57:

Let's see...

0 smog alerts
0 heat waves
0 humidity warnings

and people still bitch? I can understand it raining too much (although it isn't) but the temperatures are more than acceptable. Not to mention that there's a garbage strike so the weather has actually been doing all you T.O residents a fucking favour

I do agree with you regarding the strike...it certainly has helped a lot...and unfortunately I live near one of the dump sites on Lakeshore...and it smells so bad already when you drive by. I can only imagine how bad it would smell if it was hot outside.

But, I do love my sun and the weather has a big impact on my mood. There has been hardly any sunny days, and it's gloomy most of the time. It really does bring a lot of people down ;-(

All that has been said is the jetstream is pushing southerly winds away and allowing the northerly winds. BUT WHY?!?!

So you're an avid meteorologist & geologist?

Everyone should just live their life according to my schedule. All the nice days just happen to be the days I have off. It was like that last summer too.

Seems Barrie is having better weather too

It rained here yesterday and was overcast all day. My mother said it was hot and nice yesterday in Barrie.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Jul-22-2009 19:16:

Yep, it's been perfect up here.

Posted by slingshot on Jul-22-2009 19:19:

In Niagara it's rained quite a bit...to the point where it's actually starting to put a damper on my days. Hopefully August will bring some more sun.

You can always tell how good a summer is weather wise by the amount of times you make it to the beach/poolside days....down here:

Beach Days: 1

Posted by Skipper on Jul-22-2009 19:19:

I dunno, I seem to have still spent a shitload of time getting wasted on patios. That's really all the summer is about anyways

Everyone in BC must be laughing.... The one thing we had on them was our HOT, SUNNY, Ontario summers. That has def. changed. This summer AND last summer, they had our sun and heat, and we've had all their rain! bastards! Same thing with the UK!!! They're having an unheard of beautiful summer over there. I'm not going to complain about that though. My recent trip to London was nice and DRY

Agree. Why is it Mon - Tues and like Thurs - Fri will be absolutely GORGEOUS days, but then Sat and Sun will blow!! its like the weather trying to be a weather-tease by making the two days before and after the wkend wicked and nice as fuck, but then jipping us on the two that really mater!

If there's a truly gorgeous day this summer, 95% chance it'll happen Mon - Fri... days i cant enjoy it sitting in my office! ARG!

We've had 3 horrible Summers in a row now.

There was a drought in 2007, being the driest summer in 50 years (which I'm sure most people actually enjoyed since it was hot and sunny from June 17 through to Sept 5)

Followed by the wettest summer in 70 years (it rained almost daily until August)

Now followed by the coolest summer in X years (which is actually, fuckin AWESOME for us outdoor worker-types)

Don't worry guys, August and Sept will be our summer this year.
