Nice to see you all on the generic hate bandwagon.
Who's to say it won't actually be pretty decent? Blizzard has a knack for a good story so I don't see why there won't be a good story in this. You're all just bashing it because it's an MMO. Grow some individuality ffs

WoW can be fun ... if you don't take everyone in the game seriously. there are certain aspects of the game that can can be very fun, and other parts that look real cheesy. i particularly enjoy beating the players who spend many man hours to get their "gear" when i didn't spend as much time in pvp. then it got old, and i quit.

Oh really? Maybe, just maybe then. If they are overseeing it I'd expect something quality as it's Blizzard's first shot at a movie and they generally put out an awesome final product.

I'm on my 4th month with level 41 Paladin. It's kind of fun.
This film is being created purely for the profit they will make on it.
That, combined with the fact that the film is aimed at 8 million American geeks, has led me to the hypothesis that this film will be less entertaining than swimming through broken glass.

Last year I sold my level 80 warlock to a guy for $500, that guy re-sold the account for $1000. I had all the tier7 raid gear on him and all the pets and mounts and stuff that didn't require collecting for the trading card game. I think the only thing I didn't have on that account was one of those phoenix mounts that were incredibly rare.
I didn't do very much pvp though, I mean I had all the pve toys. about 6 people from my guild lived in my town, of those 6, 5 of them were gay men. We would often go have beers and talk about raiding. Overall I think it was a fun experience, I played mostly during college, where people had more time on their hands. I sold my account once I graduated because it took too much of my time that I could no longer afford to spare.
I hope chuck norris is in the movie, somewhere.

funny thing is... a lot of them are! I honestly don't hate it because I lack individuality. I hate it out of personal tastes. Dwarfs and witches and wizards, fantasy based, just doesn't appeal to me. If it does to you, then whatever floats your boat, I ain't gonna hate on you...

I hope this movie will be kinda like The Neverending Story. Only he plays the WoW instead of reading a book.
Oh and they should get my man Limahl to do the soundtrack also.
