MASK toys were the fucking shit. I had a bike that doubled into jet or something. When I lost it I was devastated. And that was only 3 weeks ago.

Those were all sequels, yes.

But GI Joe: Rise of Cobra, is the movie that is currently out. Therefore, they'd have to make a prequel for your idea to make any sense.

Whether or not they make a movie about GI Joe that takes place before or after this current movie, there will still be another GI Joe movie with this cast, theme, director etc.

And it will probably be even more horrible than the first.

Yeah man, I feel the same way. I had to rewatch all the OG cartoons to get the feeling back.

ok, i only counted 1 person in this thread that acturally seen the movie....I seen the movie last nyte before going to guv, and the movie is not as bad as most of you THINK it is..... I think everyone in this thread are spoilled by movies like Dark Knight, or Transformers and theres this bar that all movies have to be just as good as those 2 movies I mentioned.....
guess what not all movies are going to be A class, 5 stars out of 5.....
All and i mean all of the big time action movies this summer haven't lived up to there expectations wolverine, terminator, and even transformers2(shitty story, wtf is a fallen)....
I'm just saying watch the movie for yourself and make a informed decision.....
You can't trust a movie reviewer in the papers, because they have ppl that don't even like action movies, review them....Who are you going to trust to review a movie, some one with the same taste in movies as you or someone who has the exact opposite.....
i'm not saying to go and pay $13 at the theater(I snuck in, lol), just get a copy legally or illegally and watch it, the special effects are worth the watch.....

and another thing while im ranting, Iron Man was a shitty movie, that story was garbage......

HangOver movie of the year!

/Rant Over

Darknight ran 45 minutes too long.

Transformers was entertaining, but hardly a top-notch film.

The last really good action flick that I enjoyed was Ong Bak. I'm really getting tired of movies that are 90% CGI and 10% horrible, painful acting.

Did they at least teach kids valuable life lessons?

Because really...

knowing is half the battle.

I didn't think Iron Man was going to be any good at all...

Transformers was terrible.....and Dark Knight was watchable but it fell way short of being even a top 10 movie.

Most movies are crap nowadays and not worth the money to go see. All they care about is how good the CGI is....bad plots and bad acting seem to be the norm in most movies now.

Its just another no brainer action movie dudes

Except that the action was non stop and sometimes over the top

My favourite review blurb about GO Joe:

quote:

At one point the bad guys crush an underwater base by blowing up an ice sheet above it - because that's what ice does, isn't it? It sinks to the bottom of the sea, rather than floating on the top IN WHAT YOU MIGHT CALL ICEBERGS.

source

Couple more good ones:

quote:

Their plan? Terrorise the world by knocking over the Eiffel Tower. Yes, the same stunt you saw in Team America: World Police five years ago, and that was a PARODY OF BAD ACTION FILMS for crying out loud.

quote:

Enter the Joes, led by Channing Tatum, a man with the emotional range of a dinner plate with a frown painted on.

I enjoy these terrible action flicks that get released only for the hilarious reviews they get.

Kinda goin off tangent here, but two extremely good movies that I saw recently (that are pretty new) are Flame and Citron as well as Coraline. Check em out if you haven't already.

+1 Choice of director is one of the hints.

I don't get how people get super hyped for movie renditions of childhood favorites. IMO the majority of them have been a BIG let down. Especially in recent years. Don't people catch on to the trend? Trailer may look interesting, but the movie itself ends up being crappy and rarely lives up to people's expectations.

I like seeing movies made about childhood favorites, but I definitely have low expectations for them. None of them have been any good since TMNT 1 (and 2).

i agree it was a little long, 45mins no, maybe 15-20mins....
it deffently wassn't lor of the rings long......
Ong Bak was awesome i wont deny that, but unless you watch an import in it's real form (no shitty dub, or sub titles) it will never be the same.....

say what you want about transformers, most ppl did enjoy it thou.....
i know you like to say shit on here for the fuck of it(because i do, lol).....
but calling dark knight "watchable".....come on....maybe you just don't enjoy the action/sci fi genere, not that theres anything wrong with that.....i'm not saying everyone should love it but that movie deserves some credit(even if it stars christian bale)......

which leads me to my next point how is christian bale still getting work in hollywood, don't get me wrong he isn't all bad, he's just not as great as some of these ppl think he is.....
mother ****** is batman and john connor, wheres the justice?.....

That's what I'm saying. I mean I think he's saying you're losing something by having to read the subtitles but come on...you want to learn Mandarin or Cantonese (or any other lang) to watch a flick?

As for the Thundercats fan made trailer (I think that's what you're showing...), it was great. I loved it. I need to see the Cgi movie. MUST.
