My credit card was cancelled due to the "possibility" of a security breach a few days ago. Normally it would be a minor inconvenience, but the replacement card was sent to Texas, where there's no one to pick it up at the moment. It's just stuck there in the post office. Oh yeah, and my new book of checks is stuck in the same post office, and I have since run out of checks. If they canceled my debit card too, I'd literally be relying on cash or fucking money orders to pay for everything...

Never has someone with so much money been so unable to pay.

You use checks? I wasn't aware that you were an 80 year old woman

there are some companies who don't accept credit cards / direct deposit. like my electric company. they do accept credit cards, but they charge me 3% for every charge.

I can relate to that. My bank blocks my password every time I use an ATM right now, and that's no real problem, because I just need to reset it using the very same machine that blocks it. But, not until long ago, it used to freeze up randomly. It was really hard to buy my laptop, for example, even though I had all the money sitting there, in the bank, just waiting for the glorious moment: The account was blocked twice in 5 minutes, for no good reason, as I tried to make the purchase. I then complained to the bank - and even made friends there after so many visits - because of how annoying (and bizarre) the whole thing was.

It's all right now, and the bank offers me a lot of advantages, so changing banks was not an option I considered.

my bank has been pretty fucking awesome in some ways. one day i paid several parking fines on my credit card (like 10 or so), and they called me to tell me some suspicious activity was going on.

doesn't make me forgive them for being a complete **** the other 95% of the time tho.

You should switch to St George. Best bank ever.
