Ever run the dishwasher and forget to put soap in / the trap doesn't open?
Ever wash clothes without detergent/cleaner?
It's not quite the same. I can't imagine showering without soap would be much different. I guess I didn't realize people did that.

Ivory has a mild smell and doesn't leave my skin dry.
I soap my whole body and shampoo every other day.
I get the pits, asscrack, balls and feet every day.
If I'm going out, I do a full shower before I go.
I watched too many super-bug specials on discovery as a kid. "Full, daily soap-downs lead to a weakened immune system." I don't wanna die to the flu!
You must not be very active. Steam cleaning is awesome and all, but you should probably soap down at LEAST every 3 days just to make sure.

It's called Dove, sir. It's the only thing I use, anything else irritates my skin.

if you're feeling gross or grimy after using soap in the shower, you are using the wrong soap for yourself. you need to experiment with different soaps out there to see which one makes you feel comfortable since soap isn't supposed to make you feel gross/grimy.

There are times I do use soap, but only when I need to. Otherwise I do not. I do not sweat a lot, and I have no hair on my head and fairly thin body hair as well. Feeling gross and grimy is one of my biggest pet peeves, right next to feeling itchy, so I know what I am doing in the shower. |
Wow. How can you possibly feel clean without having used soap?
I mean, if you never used it, I could see how it wouldn't bother you. But using it sometimes and not other times and still feeling just as clean?
the entire outer layer of our skin is made up of dead cells
if they accumulate, bacteria forms on and around them
= gross
use soap man, seriously
In this wonderful consumer-driven world, you have hundreds of soaps to choose from.
Everyone raves about Dove, but I would try Aveeno if you're skin is irritated easily by strong fragrances and typical, plain soaps.
like bar soap?
almost never. For hands I got that foaming with lotion stuff. In the shower - body wash & shampoo w/ conditioner.
I don't think I've used a bar of soap since Russia.

| Originally posted by ziptnf Use body wash, not a bar of soap. You won't get itchy and you won't smell like a giant fishy vagina either. Which should be under the "all the time" category. Under that logic, shouldn't that mean that you should be like a normal human being and fucking wash your body? Yeah, clearly |

Actually I might go shower with soap now, I got home from our beach cabin and for some reason I am really itchy now. There is something in my room... which I odd cause I vacuumed last week and the door was shut the whole time.

In theory, every day. In practice, probably more like five times a week. Either way, it's probably more than necessary.
Ugh, soap makes me feel sticky...
so nou is ugly AND dirty.
watch out ladies.

On gym days or days when I'm exceptionally sweaty, otherwise I don't.
