i'm a kung-fu ninja when i sleep.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Aug-12-2009 03:50:

I get really hot. My bf always complains that I'm like an oven in the bed. I thought he was overexaggerating until I slept in my buddy's bed at DEMF, and he said he had to pull the covers off me cause he was worried I was going to spontaneously combust, lol.

I do notice that sometimes I'll wake up and my pillow cases are visibly damp with sweat. This didn't always happen...I think it's just been since working out on a regular basis, which makes sense, cause your body is still trying to cool down hours later.

Dunno well...

I can get up, walk across the room, turn off my alarm clock, walk back to bed, and lie back down in my sleep.

Posted by Ania_xox on Aug-12-2009 03:56:

Every person I have ever slept with has told me I am an incredibly peaceful sleeper.

I usually wake up in the exact same postion in which I fell asleep, unless my boyfriend moves me closer to him during the night or something.

He's the total fucking opposite. He flaps his arms around and sticks his knees up so his leg teeters and says all kinds of crazy shit.

Last week I was reading in bed and he had been asleep for about an hour at the time, all of a sudden he whips his head around to face me and goes "WHAT ABOUT BADMINTON?!"

ugh i hate waking up all sweaty. it doesn't happen often for me but it's been so fucking humid in NY that i've been waking up a few times per night all hot and sweaty even if i have the A/C on.

problem is.. i can't sleep naked and i have to have some sort of covers over me. i can strip down to my undies if needed (and if i still have a blanket) but i hate sleeping totally naked.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Aug-12-2009 04:09:

I'm a really solid sleeper so I don't ever really notice until the morning. But waking up soaked with sweat is no fun all the same. Especially in the winter when it's cold.

I have this same strange compulsion. I find that using a fan to supplement air conditioning helps prevent my circuits from exceeding their maximum temperature specifications.

Now you're just trying too hard.

I suppose I wouldn't mind, because I'd be a robot, and therefore emotionless.

I also sleep talk. So it goes hand in hand with the talking on the phone while asleep but I don't understand how I hear it (I put my phone on vibrate), flip the phone open, press the green button, talk and then hang up all while I'm asleep.

Posted by Ian on Aug-12-2009 09:49:

I generally talk in my sleep, but if I get too loud, I'll usually get woken up by the dog who'll jump up, slap my face with her paw a couple of times, then try to grab my hand & pull me out of bed. I really should make sure I shut my door properly so she can't let herself in whenever she pleases

Posted by nchs09 on Aug-12-2009 12:42:

Sleep with my eyes opened...

And i snore when i am drunk.

Posted by Fledz on Aug-12-2009 12:45:

Apparently I talk about random shit. It would be funny to tape it and listen to it in the morning. Strawberries always seem to come up

my limbs involuntarily jerk a lot right as i'm about to fall asleep...pretty violently too sometimes. i also wake myself up sometimes by making some sort of noise. it's weird. i'll wake up and think, "did i just yell out loud" lol it's like a loud hum noise. and once again, it's right as i'm about to fall asleep it happens. anyone else do that?

other than that i'm a pretty quiet sleeper once i get past that stage and fall asleep.

oh yea and i dated a sleepwalker and that shit is scary. he'd get up to go piss and i'd get all scared thinking he was in zombie mode and i'd be like, "hey wake up!" and he'd be like, "i am up. i have to piss" but when he was really sleep walking/sleep talking....man it was weird.

This happens to my girlfriend all the time. She'll be laying next to me or on me, and then she'll have a little mini-seizure; her arms and legs will both jerk pretty hard. She never wakes herself up with it tho.

She and I both have a habit of mumbling in our sleep. We never form clear words. I will sometimes sit all the way up and say out loud: "msddfjl sojkasdf nzkquizk." Then lay back down.

One time I laughed maniacally in my sleep because there was this 3 foot tall upright mouse with giant fat feet that looked funny.

Too much acid, Krypton.

LOL!! I'd love to hear a recorded clip of you making that humming noise in your sleep.

My wife does that limb jerk thing... she will be laying on her side, and one of her feet will give like 4 or 5 short and fast kicks. It drives me crazy. I'll take one of my feet and press down on her foot so it won't kick, but every 30 seconds or so I'll feel it trying to kick anyway. haha. When the cats are on the bed and that happens, they attack the foot because they think something is under there moving around.

one of my friend's weird friends used to do that... my ex and her roomates were having a party at their house and this asshole ended up coming. When everyone else was in bed, I went to the kitchen and saw him standing there pissing on the keg, thinking it was a toilet. I just didn't say anything... then I heard the girls in the morning saying, "why does it smell like piss in here?" I kept quiet. lol

Posted by Slylee on Aug-12-2009 15:40:

yea it's weird and i actually heard pat do it one time. it's just like a "ehhhh" noise lol it's almost as if i'm having involuntary spasms of my vocal chords.

LOL at the guy pissing on the keg.

twice my boy (and maybe because he was still drunk) woke up & pissed randomly. the first time, he opened his bedroom door, stood in the doorway & pissed right out into the living room. the second, was at an after-party...he got up & walked into the dining room & pissed right in the corner all over the walls...needless to say, that was the last time he was invited
