I'm here

I have had a couple of friends with modded skylines back home... very nice.

I never, ever look at a sexy car and think "cha-ching", I always think "I wish I could have a go burning people off at lights in that and letting the roar of the engine dampen my knickers"

LOL

Always been a car and footy freak, should have been a boy.

Posted by Intangible on Aug-14-2009 19:14:

Oh and to add... girls who thing 'cha-ching' when they see a nice car are stupid. Half the guys that have these nice cars spend most their $$$ on their 'baby'... oh and thats the other problem the girl will always be #2 in their life.

Besides I think luxury cars are much hotter than sports cars... plus more room in the back seat

Posted by pmoisse on Aug-14-2009 19:53:

I love the R32 and R34. R32 is elegantly fast. R34 is madness.

If I had my pick, I still prefer the old KPGC10 Skylines with a nice set of wheels on them:

FALSE. plus who needs room in the back seat?

I'm down for some racing as well. Modded wrx here.

Alex - what do you have done to your hatch??

Posted by CODE on Aug-14-2009 20:59:

this is my 4th fully built eg6 civic.
i used to work for 3 different race shops in my younger years.
ive owned quite a few cars but when i comes to fun racing I stick
with honda. its like the lego racecar...lol

this new eg6 i have has 2 built motors that i switch between.
right now I have the N/A motor in. Its the fastest N/a I have ever
built based on a B20 stroked and sleeved to 2.2 at 12.5 compression
tunned by full race in Cali.

Its a very scary little demon. It smokes my turbo gsr anyday.

lol why do you say that? because its not some sleek audi r8 design?

the KPGC10 has character, looks like something a James Bond villain from You Only Live Twice would drive...has that sinister swagger to it

Exactly. Quality design doesn't have to be modern. You just have to look to the Jag E-Type, Lamborghini Miura, Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing, Toyota 2000GT, Alfa GTA etc to find timeless classic design that was brilliant for it's day and still brilliant now.

My personal opinion is that the old classics have more soul. Sure they're not as fast, or reliable, but I wouldn't care. I would take a classic motor over a modern one almost every time if I had my pick. To me, cars are just as much about how they make me feel vs. their performance figures on paper.

Yeah I was driving east on Mayfield Road in Brampton and it passed me in the opposite lane going west. It caught me totally off guard! He had a few cars in front of him so he wasnt driving fast but it sounded so nice.
