Mecca is in Saudia Arabia, one of the few Muslim allies that the US has. If they bomb them, there goes an ally. Besides, the US is not at war against a religion, they are only at war at terrorists. The terrorists hide behind their religion, and use Islam to justify their actions. Muslims as a whole though, are peacefull people, and I am glad to say that I have many Muslim friends.
