I always took "baby" in the metaphorical usage meaning "lover." And that's why she's "gone tomorrow," because she just wants the quick thrill of a one night stand, not a commitment. Who knows, though, maybe they were thinking of some girl trying to rope men into getting her pregnant and paying for the kid, LOL.
