Its tough to describe what to expect. Their live shows are a fusion of trance, psy-trance, metal, and lately some electroy sounds. Their live shows are absolutely amazing.

Check out this vid to sort of get an idea of what they're about...

Thanks. He is Israeli and knows one of the guys so he is very familiar with how they were before compared to now, he likes their older better. They had another group before and he really liked their music too. He prefers psy-trance but I am not sure if he will be into the metal. For the record, I had no idea that his trance was called psy-trance until recently. I would just tell him to turn his Israeli crap down lolz.

lol. I'll say this...Psy-trance live is totally differet from psy trance being played in a car, or at home.

I saw Astral Projection (another huge psy trance act) at Avalon about 5 years ago, and was blown away by the experience. The crowd was a mix of clubbers, ravers, and hippy-ish people. Sound weird? It is! But in a good, completely different way. No gudios or douches to ruin the fun.

The 1st time I saw Infected Mushroom was at Webster Hall in summer of 07. I went there not knowing a single thing about them. Victor Dinaire opened and was playing such fast trance that I thought to myself, holy shit! If he's playing this, what is IM going to play? The only thing that's left is happy hardcore! Eeek! I was not looking forward to that...

And THEN. Infected Mushroom came on and I was blown away. They opened with "Riders on the Storm." The 1st thing I thought was wow! A cross between trance and Metallica! It worked beautifully. Before I got lured into the edm world, I was primarily a metal fan. This was the most amazing combination for me.

He knows Astral Projection too. I saw Astral Projection at what Israeli's call a "nature party" since it is in the desert. Your description of the scene is exactly how it was but the people were clubbing hippy ravers, lol. It is just something I never got into, maybe this time will be different. The only thing drawing me to this is no guidos or douches. I guess my presence will be moral support for the hubby since I have dragged him to a load of DNB stuff.

A few people have asked me what the difference between regular and VIP admission is. VIP gets you access to the upper levels of the club...mezzanine etc. VIPs also get a signed poster of the band as an added bonus.

Having access to the upper levels is definitely cool, I feel like you can see so much better from there!

I'm guess is they will play a lof of the stuff from their latest album Legend of the Black Shawarma. If he doesn't have the album he can listen to samples here:

http://www.amazon.com/Legend-Black-...53720921&sr=8-1

The best way I can describe it is... new style, not very psy, more rock inspired. To be honest I like their older style better.

I signed up for the fanmanager and did a ton of stuff and its all in my profile, but no one contacted me for tickets. Additionally, they sent an email saying if we promote live we can pick tickets. To chicago ... No nyc. So I emailed and said- here's rhe dewal if you give me tickets to ny ill do flkyers in ny for ny (last weekend) and additionally ill be in vegas and ill do some flyer in vegas and chicago.
Good deal for them right?

They loved it.

Then never sent me any flyers so now I can promote vegas for them, but its too late for free ny tickets. Which really isn't my fault. I'm not going to flyer in vegas if I no longer get anything for it! Hahah

Oh well. Its still a great concept they just have to get their shit together.

The first time I saw infected was in 04. They were amazing back then and they didnt incorporate as much metal as they do now..I guess it's always good to improvise. It seems like they've also sold their souls to the commercial world. I've attended many of those nature parties in Israel, I think that everyone should attend them at least once.

They'll make my night if they drop classics like deeply disturbed, merlin, converting vegeratians...I'm not crazy about their newer productions.

How many credits do you have?

When you enter your work there is a box in the top right corner to select your prize. If you were selecting 10/3 at Terminal 5 for all of your work they should honor it. Who did you speak to... was it Erik Koral? If you posted at least 8 items w/ snapshots at 10 points each that is enough for a ticket (75points) without having to do flyers but there were 3 different campaigns for IM. I was working on the Summer Tour campaign and the prizes are different I believe.

In any event it's not like you loose your credits so if they ever come back you can redeem those points for another show or merchandise. They honored mine but I joined the campaign back in August so may be it was too late when you joined?

If you have 75 points I dont see why its too late because the tickets are will call. If you dont have 75 points ask them if you make a few more posts if they will honor it.

Posted by hellosam on Sep-30-2009 15:57:

I have 105 points

I spoke via email to a generic fanmanger email no name

Maybe you have their contatc info? If not no biggie at all

I also emailed through the fanmanager system a month ago and received NO response
