I seriously doubt those are my notes....

i'm the same. always had AP & honors english in HS and even got placed in english honors in 2 different college placement exams but i always scored really low in math and needed tutors. it's annoying sometimes but i dunno i guess my brain just isn't wired to be good at alegbra. i'm good with accounting math but then my OCD kicks in and i check my work at least 3 times lol
i could call my dad right now with a high school or college level algebra equation/problem and he would get it done in a minute. wish i got my brains from him.
there's actual learning disabilities that are aimed at strictly people who struggle with math.

i think with enough practice though, u can eventually become at least "ok" with it, but it just depends on how important it is to you and/or if you truly need it a lot in your career/life.
*edit* go to barnes & noble and look for books that help with algebra. i have a book somewhere that really breaks it down for you like you're in 8th grade and it helped me get through a couple of college algebra classes. i'll try to find it tomorrow and post the title/author.

If you can understand simple logic, and basic algebra rules, you can do calculus. I took Calc 1-3, Differential Equations, Discrete Mathematics, and Linear Algebra, and got a C in every single one except discrete and linear, I got a C+ in those Just study, do your homework, make sure it's right, then try your best on the tests. |
this book has changed my life.

I was never great at math in high school, but with little effort everything is possible. I've got an itch for quantum computing, entlanglement in QM and some fields related to A.I ...god i f0495ing love this shiz.
enroll in a community college and follow a sequence (pre-algebra/college algebra/pre-cal/cal 1-3)...and so on. Stick to it! And good luck
p.s: for dummies books can be quite good too. stick to it!
Calc I - III can suck a dick, so glad I'm through with that shit.
Think of Math as a game. Know the rules and practice. Everything will thus fall into place.
The beauty of Math is that you have an opportunity to ALWAYS be right, because it's all fixed by certain rules/formulas; and because, usually, you can check your work. Well, I'm at the Trig level right now; and that mentality has helped me keep solid A's.
Painless Algebra is what i have

i remember struggling SO hard in chemistry in high school with balancing equations. omg. i was staying late every day and was so close to getting it, but i dunno i just couldn't. fuck it was so frustrating.

I think I seriously might have ADD. Sometimes I can't even read a paragraph with out skipping ahead two paragraphs...
Also if people are talking to me, no matter how hard I try my thoughts seem to wander off to something else, or I start thinking about a tangent of what they said...
you'll grow out of it.
just take some supplements like b6 and b12 for now and make an effort to control your wondering thoughts.

yea the few times i "got it" with math, i really enjoyed doing problems. it's fun if you get it.
and nou i mean you'll grow out of it in your late 20s and into adulthood. aren't u like 21?
Pretty sure nou is older than that.
23, 24 in Jan.
you got time.
i got a script for ritalin when i was 21 and going to college. it helped but i lost too much weight and would get cranky when it wore off. wasn't worth it to me so i just dealt with it and i feel like i'm growing out of it the older i get. i still have some ADD traits here and there but i'd say i've gotten over the worst of it. studies show that it can be "grown out of".
teach yourself how to do partial fractions and that will make you feel like your good at math and impress your nerdy friends.
Some shit you just can't learn in class so you gotta do your own learning just to keep up.
