You do realize in most cases, you have to analyze/set up your tracks well before hand? its not all automatically right the 1st time everytime.

i got 2 pms about some softwares already thanks. I will be making a mix demo this weekend and hopefully land a residency somewhere.. will let you guys know what happened. My dream is to play at a popular club and now I think i have the software to let me do that.

is the software something you got off soulseek/torrents?

upload the mix that you'll do...let us hear your skills as the next big dj.

Make sure to post the demo here too. Looking forward to it.

To the OP, your ass is sucking wind if you think you can "rock a crowd" with just having two tracks beatmatched.

Get a life.

Awesome clip, makes me feel a mixture of emotions every time I see it!!

And yeah, for some reason I also realise that in the DJ Booth forum you cannot embed vids. That has to be the weirdest thing in the world!

in my drunken state of sleep dep i guess i wasn't too clear

the point i was trying to make was that it takes years of dedication, not just to beatmatch, but to understand track flow and how to read a crowd, beatmatching took me all of maybe a few months to get down solid, it's the other things you learn while learning to beatmatch that make you a good dj, it just doesn't happen overnight and with one program at the touch of a button

sure, you can skip the whole beatmatching thing, but there's no way you're going to get gigs

anyplace you play will be better off just slapping on a mix cd than to pay you for pushing play and standing there

The comparison is for.. why do it when something else can do it better. Beatmatching does not take 10 minutes to do, it takes 10 seconds. Its like breathing, you shouldnt have to think about it as much as what you can do to the track to make it sound better.

Beatmatching does not take days to learn, it doesnt even take hours really. To perfect it depends on the person. Good luck getting residency at where ever you are.. if they need DJs that desperately then i guess youre probably putting on the hokey pokey to old people playing bingo.

Oh yeah, im really mad for teaching myself how to DJ, i think about it every night as i slit my wrists

+1 for the alt/troll

It's always sad when people focus on just how to do something and not how to do it the right way or understand why you need to do it.

I think this George Carlin quote fits this situation:
"I'll give you a little tip about the blues, folks: it's not enough to know which notes to play. You need to know why they need to be played."

lol. I think you're delussional. So you just want to auto beatmatch to play some hit mix, do rockstar poses and wink at the girls. Why don't you just use the crossfader for mixing?

Good quote. So much so that I quoted it.

My god thank you, I can't believe it took 3 pages before someone called troll.

On the troll-o-meter, I give this a 7/10 because people are still typing responses.

Posted by AnomalyConcept on Sep-01-2009 01:54:

lol

when was the last time you opened a thread in this forum where Tony didn't throw an irrelevant comment about how he's been doing this shit for 10 years, how he's such a seasoned expert in all-things-audio, his experience in radio, recording studios, or just saying his dick is bigger than everyone's?

Hey guys, just wanted to thank the people who pm'd me and the support. I have some GREAT news!! I handed my mix I finished to a promoter of a nightclub I've been really wanting to work at and got a call back last night offering me a DJ RESIDENCY there !!! Not bad, having only dj'd for 2 weeks and landing a residency at one of the hottest clubs in the east coast! Without the new technology and software this would not be possible and I would have still been stuck on learning how to beatmatch. Now I am a resident dj,I'm so happy! Thanks again everyone who supported and pm'd me. For all the haters, go have fun "learning and perfecting" your beatmatching, your looking at a new resident dj here that didnt have to.

why so you can hate on me for no reason? or maybe so you can copy my mix? Go make yourself a good mix , maybe you will land a dj residency somewhere in your career.
