All right,

so for classics night, i didn't play all classics, however i did play a lot of them (about 85%). I tried to mix in songs that i believe will be classics as well in the future, so don't hate because my set wasn't 100% classics all right . Here is the track listing, however they may not be in order i played them. I am just winging it from what i remember, so there might be 1 or 2 songs i missed.

Your Not Alone - Olive (Mat Zo Mix)
Punk - Ferry Corsten
Elektra - Super8 & Tab
Your Never Said - Cerf, Mitiska & Jaren (Randy Boyer & Eric Tadla Mix)
No One On Earth - Above & Beyond (Gabriel & Dresden Mix)
We Came - Vimana (First State Mix)
Nothing But You - Paul Van Dyk (Super 8 & Tab Mix)
Carte Blanche - Veracocha (Michael De Kooker Mix)
Tracking Treasure Down - Gabriel & Dresden ft Molly (Kyau & Albert Mix)
Rapture - Iio (Armin Van Buuren Mix)
Stemcell - Randy Boyer & Eric Tadla
Happy Ending - HeatBoyer (Randy Boyer & Heatbeat Mix)

About Andy not playing classics on Saturday...

Like someone said, its sort of tough to tell a guy like Andy Moor that he HAS to play a certain style. Yeah, it would have made the night truly epic if he had gotten into it the theme. But I can see how at first glance, the idea of a "classics-themed" night could possibly come off as a gimmicky type of party to a dj of Andy's stature. Obviously thats not the case...its a once-a-year event that has become a NYC tradition at this point...but I can see how it could be tough to convey that to someone who's never been to one.

Either way, I actually enjoyed his set. Its always a pleasure sharing the decks with him.

Thought Andy played great, but agree that I would've liked it to be more of a 'classic' set.,

My vote for next year would def have to be Thrillseekers - or maybe even Kyau vs Albert, would love to hear a classics set from them!
brad i agree with you on that one thrillseekers would be sick

I would approach it as such "Yo listen, we are inviting you to play at our annual classics night, in which the bulk of the evening, the DJ's are asked to play their choice of classic tracks....its a great night we have every year, and we would love it if you could join us in continuing the tradition....."

its not insulting to ask a guy who has been a great talent for many years to play older tracks perhaps whoever invites the next guest just PREFACES the conversation, that it is, in fact, a classics night

(again, his set was great, so not complaining here......)

btw El- Find...

Yeah, we got a bit of an extended performance...

BTW, I don't think I was in the room for Rapture. Sucks that I missed that, but Tracking Treasure Down sent me to the bar for another drink.

And Kelly, you owe me for even getting to hear Punk since I came out to find you because I knew you'd flip if you missed it.

Damn Zack I missed PQM's You Are Sleeping?!? I LOOOOOVE that track!

Btw, what about Hybrid or BT for a classics night? I know BT's a stretch... but I swear half of my classics are from these two alone :P

I played Luke Chable's remix at Cielo, and the Original on Saturday. Both mixes are so sick.

Hmm, thought i posted this earlier but my interwebz aren't working so good...

Re: H&T (the Osama Bin Laden song) noted above... Nuff said. They could've played Eagles and Bob Seeger for the rest of the night and I still would've been happy as a clam. Not much else to say, i'll just ditto Kelly's review - Zack is a master, would have been extra nice to have all classics from everyone, but tons of fun nonetheless.

My top picks for a future classics night would be...

M.I.K.E. again
Airwave
Thrillseekers again
Rank 1
Solarstone

My all-star dream picks (probably not within reason)...

PVD
Tiesto
Judge Jules
Oakenfold (his last set in NYC was classic-themed and was awesome)

Its funny...I randomly decided to go check out Oakenfold the last time he played here...last Thanksgiving. He came on and dropped non-stop classics. I was totally confused until the day after when I looked at the flyer again and saw it was a "Greatest Hits" night.

That one was a lot of fun.
