90% of radio slaves tracks are filler as well. And I doubt most people play those tracks in their entirety. Its more like you put it on either to prep to move in a different direction musically, or if you need to take a piss, or get a hummer from some skank in the dj booth.

If Matt Edwards played nothing but radio slave remixes end-to-end in his sets it would get boring really quickly.

His remix of "The Dig" is the only record of his that I'll play from start to finish because of how awesome the strings are. The rest I'll go 4 or 5 minutes tops.

so by default you admit to being a huge fan of filler.

I was trying to search for that cagedbaby thread w/ the samples in it. Having a hell of a time w/ the search engine. Is anyone able to locate that thread? If so please post a link if you dont mind.

empty tracks can be spiced up by a good dj, even if i am not a big rs fan, the same applies to his stuff as well imo. If you are just going to fade in and fade out sure they can seem a little empty, but if you use your head and skill a bit you can make it "your own".

I'm not talking itchy hottin 16 tracks at the same time either here.

I agree. I just got a pvdj grabber tool. Been experimenting with that. Its like having a 3rd deck almost. Thing works great as long as its not freezign up on me. Especially with techno

Techno by its very structure is made for threesomes. Zinga.

thanks! seems like the trick is to turn on the "search post titles" option. It finds it then if you search on keyword "cagedbaby". But if you leave the search in its default state and run it, it wont locate it.

Posted by Guest on Sep-05-2009 15:42:

the search engine is so flaky...I can't get it to find the cagedbaby thread now.

One man's filler is another man's awesome.

I maintain that this track is awesome. I have seen it work floors. I have seen people go "What the fuck is THIS?" when first hearing it.

Posted by idoru on Sep-05-2009 19:29:

I'll probably pick it up, but I'll hold off on whether or not it has massive potential until I play around with it a bit.

25 of us went last night. I only could go because I'm between jobs. I wasn't able to do Wednesday night raving with my job since I was getting up at 530am but I'm never doing a shift like that again lol.
