If you weren't impressed at Circa (cheese), and weren't impressed at DEMF (hard), I can't imagine what you're expecting from him at the Guv. Last two Guv sets have essentially been boring tech house as VDub mentions, and I wouldn't expect this one to be any different.

I wish he'd retire so he can be remembered as the legendary DJ he was and not this hit-or-miss-but-mostly-miss quasi-techno DJ he's been lately.

He was by far the best party we ever had at the club so far, def looking for a repeat performance in Windsor.

Carl = Party

Yeah you may be right. I was hoping for him to play more like he did at DEMF this year (so yeah, harder). I actually didn't see most of his set at DEMF since I was in Corola-mode, so I'd like to see him playing some actual techno. Then again, he probably won't bring it quite as much as he did playing the main stage at DEMF. We'll see if I decide to check him out or not again! It depends on other parties that weekend I'm thinking.

I forgot which party it was where Carl Cox and Loco Dice was in the Main Room and Ferry Corsten was in KH. Carl Cox rocked it that night and the vibe was insane. I actually stayed in the main room for an hour instead of seeing Ferry Corsten!!

Used to love the big guy but wasn't impressed the last few years...I did however see him in Vegas last week and he delivered a lot of fun tunes...hope he keeps up the good work in November...

I'd think for small room venues he'd do great at this point rather than the full out dancefloors

whaaaaaaaaaaa?? he was playing far from slow friend.

Maybe you should go to demf and check out his pure techno sound that he likes to play there. Oldschool banging tecnho.

I personally prefer his housier tech, which he still bangs out.

Guv 11 year still ranks as one of my top 5 parties. outstanding.

It was the Guvernment 11th Year Anniversary Party. I was in the room too...dirty dirty beats and the vibe was amazing!

Pretty excited for this!

Last time I saw him was at Boom Boom Room...and that was the party of the year for me.

Creativity and risk-taking really seems to have gone out the window with Toronto's superclubs.

Welcome to 2004

Is that really what you'd call his DEMF set?

Old-school techno to me is like Cave's Street Carnival, Ben Sims Manipulated or Chester Beatty's Jackstyle (I miss those days... *sniff*). What Cox plays (mostly) is maybe more like old-school tech-trance from 2003-4ish.

WoW people be hating my nigga on here ... I have waited to experience him in the main room can't wait

I missed him last time because of mid-terms, I'm hoping it won't be the same this year. November is going to be a killer month of events!

The last two times i've seen Carl (Circa and DEMF), I had a BLAST! Was tons of fun! Good party times!

Now was the music at the calibre of other sets or times i've heard/seen Carl? Not really... was it fun, loud and full of energy? Definently!

Not to mention (And this is crucial IMO for a good party), both times I was with great friends and shared an amazingly good time and great memories from both experiences.

Can't wait to see Carl again this November @ BBR!
