i`ve used the ` a couple of times while developing. it was for baah scripting in unix.

The UK is the only English speaking area that doesn't use US-English keyboards.

I've used it in sql when table names had a - in them.

Yeah, for whatever reason it slipped my mind about layouts. Why I don't know, considering I have the Russian and German layouts installed also.
