I know it not really the place but I'd love Nexus to be around the 200 mark. I've used my mates copy on his PC and I think it's a great tool just too much wedge.

But making music should be free and effortless! Next thing I know you will tell me that mastering involves more than slapping a pirated Waves compressor on everything.

Nexus2? Sounds cool.. but whats different from Nexus1 really? Its still a rompler right? So just more mod possibilities or what?

Normally a rompler update will provide more romples to romple around with.

*romp romp romp*

Ah.. gottcha... but how about just spitting out a few more expansion packs instead?

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Sep-22-2009 18:07:

I have no idea what the update includes, actually. I just like saying "romple."

Right. By romples I thought you meant sounds :P

Posted by cryophonik on Sep-22-2009 18:23:

Nexus2 is still a rompler, but it has some pretty big improvements over the original version, including more flexibility with layering, better modulation routing, IIRC some new effects, etc. And, it does come with a new expansion pack. Also, all of the new expansion packs released since Nexus2 will only work with the new version (i.e., won't work with Nexus1).

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Sep-22-2009 18:23:

Yes, I did. If a sampler loads samples, then logically it follows that a rompler loads romples, right? :-)

hey guys,
if i buy the original version of cubase, can i then use cracked vst instruments? or will it cause a similar problem?

Man...this thread is so against the forum rules...not being allowed to discuss cracked/pirated stuff...

You should be fine to use all your cracked VSTs as far as I'm aware. The only thing I could think of is a company which makes both a DAW and VSTs might write something into their DAW's code to check that their own VSTs are legit. But even then, that would be a stretch.

I don't think there are any risks, stability-wise, in going as legit as possible.
