I have never been able to fall asleep in class. I napped in History once in High School, but I had a fever of 103 and had just come from morning swim practice. I have trouble falling asleep at night, I have to have a glass of water and the ceiling fan on in order to get comfortable.

When I have to wake up really early, I always doom myself by worrying that I won't get enough sleep. I then toss and turn all night. It's like a self-fulfilling prophecy I can't stop.

That's a problem for me if I have a test early the next morning or something, I can't get it out of my head!

That would be fine and good, if I hadn't been sleeping successfully without choking on my tongue for 26 years already.

dude I see way to many weird fractal patterns and psychedelic dream states of colors to even know my tongue exists after a few minutes of closing my eyes.

My motto is, "May the influence of a 1000 dreams be upon you tonight."

Why worry about the physical body when you are dreaming? R we dreaming right now? is this beer in my hand? Is that air you are breathing? just let it all go; sleep is not ment to keep your mind attached to the physical world we are in; but to detach from everything that keeps you bound.

Don't curse us, just let go.

After living with my man all summer, I now have trouble falling asleep without him. It's weird without the spooning, so I just wrap myself really tight in my blankets like a burrito.

my dreams are so "real" that it is hard to explain. It must be something in the pills, because even though i can't explain it in words, i never had this type of dreaming before.

Posted by Rose on Sep-21-2009 18:45:

Dark, silent and freezing cold please.

Posted by Slylee on Sep-21-2009 20:05:

drinking + pain killers or sleeping pills is fucking stupid. you could slow your heart rate down so low you'd die if this is done habitually.

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Sep-21-2009 20:10:

Jay, the vivid dreams and nightmares are probably from a very slow heart rate. When I was on beta blockers I used to get those as well, it is a pretty common side effect.

Posted by Joss Weatherby on Sep-21-2009 20:20:

Tired.

Also I do not like when my feet or cold or too warm. Its all about my feet.

Posted by lenazi on Sep-21-2009 20:24:

i literally wake up and can remember everything (and i'm not talking about for the first 5 minutes either, for days). I think the pharma company does it on purpose knowing that you will need more pills to sleep because you are too scared too.

i took beta blockers before for a tremor i have (post concussion syndrome). I never had this problem, but stopped taking them because they lowered my blood pressure way too much. Either way being a human vibrator has its benefits.

Posted by Joss Weatherby on Sep-21-2009 20:27:

I do not take any meds Jay and have dreams like that all the time. It is probably just dependent on person to person, though drugs may amplify it for some people.

I want to try acid or something sometime, but I am afraid I would be the type to never want to come back down. My dreams are always really intense and lucid and very much real feeling.
