When i heard that he was coming.... I tought "Not MOBY again in MTL".... I really was looking forward the last time he came at SAT but it was very shitty!!! He arrived 2 hours late and put on a already made mix........ What a piece of crap!!! They should of refund the people that went (it was the same day as a snow storm 1 1/2 year ago).

Seriously, i would take my 35$ and go at ((())) instead and be sure to have a great time!!!!!!

I'm glad I didn't lose sleep last night to try and make it out to Parliament for that

also, i hope that moby is doing a live pa for the sake off all of your ears.

I believe he is doing a live show for his new album.....I don't think he will be DJing. I know he isn't DJing when he comes to Toronto.

Posted by lenazi on Sep-24-2009 14:26:

hopefully true for montreal as well.

i give the guy full credit as a producer even if i do not like almost anything since "Go". His new album has a few interesting tracks on it, and the only time i have seen him not suck is when he isn't trying to be a DJ.

Was in the bus going home and overheard a convo of some highschool kids. One asked the other; dude, are you goin to see deadma-five, he's so good when he wears his mouse hat! That made my day

I saw some video I think on Vimeo or maybe the Bal en Blanc website. Right after Bal en Blanc and whomever this person was, was aksing people in the BeB line-up to get in who they came to see. Some girl they asked said deadmau-five as well. After laughing and shaking my head at this, my immediate thoughts were you uneducated bimbo.

Posted by osler on Sep-25-2009 14:17:

anyone have any idea when the mow-five goes on at?

it says doors open at 8 and something about show at 10 - can they be serious? surely he doesn't go on until 11:30 min.... correct?

(p.s. that's why i am excited to go - his many monster productions, not his merely passable DJ skills... it's kind of like a rap concert - if you don't know the songs, you're going to hate it, but if you do, you're going to love every minute (which i will) )

Posted by Adam420 on Sep-25-2009 17:56:

It doesn't help when most of the songs suck

Posted by Marcus007 on Sep-25-2009 18:29:

anyone have tixs for this they want to sell? a buddy is looking for 3

Posted by lenazi on Sep-25-2009 18:45:

edit: never mind it is sold out.

his best bet is to still show up at the box office to see if they released a batch of last minute "cancels", and there will certainly be a few people selling them for more around the venue.

only options.

Posted by lenazi on Sep-25-2009 18:56:

also lol @ "buddy"...just admit they are for you

Posted by Marcus007 on Sep-25-2009 19:34:

every 15yo has: "like OMMFG DEADMAU5!!! SO GOODD "
on their facebook status. this is the end of the world, forget 2012, its happening NOW!

Well, if they start off with something this bad, there's no way to go but up.

Posted by jester on Sep-26-2009 16:30:

bring on moby

Posted by Alexx G on Sep-26-2009 18:15:

.

Deadmau5's music is actually the product of a military study to use sound as a weapon. It was determined to be highly painful to humans, but not fatal, therefore it was declassified and released as a commercial product. The above pic of the effects of his "music" on rats is actually part of Ortho's new ad camapign, but its still in development. I'm guessing you either work for them, or for a rival company looking to leak their secrets in order to deflate its future econimic blow to your sales. If the latter, I can only caution you, as I've seen the future of pest control, and this is it.

Relax dude. Every 15 year old ever has started with some cheesy EDM to get them in the business. The people who started with the "underground" is the minority. Now of course, we can have different definitions of underground. After all, if you compare Deadmau5 to Celine Dion, he is quite underground.

Of course Deadmau5's music is of very poor quality, but he serves a purpose, the same as Tiesto, AVB or even Benny Benassi. Most of these 15 yr old will grow up listening to other music, for better or for worse. And if they don't, well fuck them, you probably don't want to be friends with them anyway.

The lazy producing and cheesy music will always be part of EDM. Technology has only made it easier.

See ? This kid is probably excited as a virgin on her wedding night, but a few years from now, he will probably look back and think how silly he was. I bet you probably find yourself silly for liking A State of Trance back in the days (or whatever shit got you into EDM). I know thinking about myself in psytrance nights @ Aria waving glowsticks make me laugh.

Well it's the same for the Deadmau5 kids.
