Great to read your favs and bring back memories.

For me:

Syrous "Total Recall", Nov 1994. My first party ever. Hooked. 3000 people. Recall the Ethics EP "La Luna" (to the beat of the drum) being spun.

World Electronic Music Festival (WEMF) - Christian Island
July 1998. Sunny all weekend, beautiful beaches, remote island. W/ Christopher Lawrence, Mark EG( nuts!), Robert Oleysick. First time I heard "Greece 2000" from 3 Drives on a Vinyl (at 11AM!).

Danny Tenaglia at DC10, Ibiza, Sept 2002, IMPROMPTU set !

Carl Cox at Industry, Sept 1998 (got autographed flyer). The club is told he is a no-show at 2AM due to missed flight, then he manages to jet in at 6AM. Energy through the roof for those who are still there.

Paul Van Dyk at Twilo, 2000. EPIC set. Salt Water by Chicane never sounded so good on that Phazon sound system. Best smoothie ever at that Smart Bar.

Satoshi Tomiie at Stereo, June 2002. Dark, dirty prog makes this 1st experience at Stereo forever etched in my brain. Layo and Bushwacka's "Love Story" (although warm and bubbly anthem) defines this night for me.

Marco Carola at Aria, March 2003. Groovy, funky, bangin', tribally techno the way it should sound. No minimal.

Steve Lawler at Aria, May 2003 - 8 hour mind-blowing set !!

Tenaglia at Stereo, 17.5 hr set (present for 15), Sept 2003. in-describable madness.

Beyer, Carola, Picotto at Space, WMC 2006. Sunrise Rooftop terrace techno madness, with up-for-it european ladiez :P

Kleinenberg at Stereo, April 2006. When electro was fresh and exciting. 8 hrs of hands-in-the air craziness.

Bal en Blanc 2007. Deep Dish, specifically Dubfire dropping Roadkill and Ribcage made me lose the plot on the dancefloor.

Sasha & Digweed at Pepsi Forum, Dec 2007 No need to explain.

Lee Burride on the Listed WMC 2009 Leeeeky Tiki boat party. Flawless set and completely insane vibe. Open bar and made from scratch mojitos.

Chris liebing
Christopher Lawrence
Armin
Blank & Jones

Evolve nights at stereo with victor calderone

Swirl 2005 with Chris Liebing is on top, he was crazy.
Im still looking for an event to top that one music wise, but as for "special night", Paul Oakenfold 2002 @ Aria, the ambiance was great, not too much people, adored that night then headed on st-laurent @ champs to watch Brazil vs Germany World Cup final...one of the very few times i spent over 30 hours without sleep and im a boy scout, so no pills/drugs,i think i crapped in my bed so much i slept afterwards.

-dj donato's first time @ circus

-illumina event december 15, 2007

lol what the fuck that was an awesome night. It got even better when I got home and I was still flying, and you weren't able to hang out with me. So instead I made a party for one by myself, put my iPod on and danced in my room by myself until 7am lol. Fucking Ottawa, no where better to go out too, but my bedroom.

as for me;

The Cube Guys @ Circus Jan 09'
because its still recent Roger Sanchez @ Stereo Sept labour day long weekend 09'
(the above two events being the highlight of this year for me so far)
the BeB House Room 2009 before 8am (thats when Deadmau5 started)
Black and Blue 2008
Sensation 2008 before 6am I think........
Resolution 2008 before I got taken away by hung over friend

more to follow eventually

the upcoming Evolve night with Victor Calderone @ Stereo is getting more and more tempting, even if it is right after Black and Blue

they were better at the verdun auditorium

speaking of shows, i am quite surprised that marylin manson was good yesterday. Other than maybe beautiful people and maybe his cover of depeche mode i never liked him. Great showman, and man did that guy get fat

lol you quoted yourself

Deadrat is in O-town tonight your going aren't you Spin?

Posted by Spin Laden on Sep-23-2009 14:50:

I think Max cried all the way back to Ottawa. He seems like a genuine guy, however. As for deadhouse....

Multiple personality disorder.. you end up quoting yourself sometimes. Dubfire's set was really flat that night, imo, if you were Flintstones-free you may have agreed..plus for the first time at an edm event I wanted to break someone's orbital bone

If I went to deadhouse that would be four times

Posted by lenazi on Sep-23-2009 15:06:

as much as i joke, max had a great sense of humour and was fun about it.

Posted by Spin Laden on Sep-23-2009 15:21:

yeah, Max is a cool cat..you stuck him real good but he was all class

Back to topic: Max and Victor both dropped very solid sets at Resolution 07 but Tiesto and BeB's tendency to oversell killed that gig for me.

other highlights: Lawler's shortened set at Celebration 05.

lowlights: average Danny Tenaglia sets a decade apart

Posted by Neo Hacker on Sep-23-2009 19:07:

Swirl 2005 is an event I would never forget. So good music and vibe ...

Ferry @ Aria in October 2005 ... epic moment. Probably the best afterhour event I've been to.

Also Bal en Blanc 2007 with Above & Beyond.

These are the nights I know I will never forget.
