When I was little I had dreams of making electronic dance music. The music I loved, and which I was known for being so extraordinary passionate about. It was due to a major coincidence that I started producing music, at the age of 15... And here I sit now, like in the midst of one of those dreams.

It's only happened a few times but the few it has happened everything was in surround. The sounds were so big I was like a needle in a haystack of sound. The colors of the music were extremely vivid and I felt like what I would assume people feel when they're rolling. Then I woke up.

The other time showed the entire progression from composing to engineering to me playing it out in a club. It was amazing; until a gunman opened fire and the pa's dropped on my head LOL. Suffice to say I again woke up; albeit in a cold sweat this time.

i also have that surrround kinda feeling. its like theres no limitation on how good the sound can be when dreaming beacuse ur actualy not using your ears or speakers at all, its all pure mind-power which is fucking huge! oh my the loudness in the tracks ive dreamed about hahaha.

havn't had a music one like that..

i routinely have bizarre, masterfully directed narratives that would win at least 10 oscars..

often they take the form of film trailers, or sometimes they're like whole films in themselves... it actually feels really weird having 3rd person dreams haha

I love dreaming about music, I do it often, nothing ever comes up from it though because I can't find the right way to make the exact sounds

The only time I have a musical idea that I actually think is worth developing is when I have insomnia. Dreams are cool, but when it's 3 am and I'm sitting at my keyboard trying to pass the time, that's when magic happens. More surprising is the fact that it doesn't sound like shit in the morning.

anyone get those dreams where you hear a track, perfectly crisp, from beginning to end and you feel as if it has NEVER been done. this track usually sounds as if it could top the charts its first week, and it sounds fucking AWESOME. then you wake up and you're like "damn, that track was hot, i want to make it"

i had a dream last night about a track i was producing and it sounded so good and promising and then i wake up and its nothing but a distant memory

I had a dream like this; I was in a house right and right as I walked outside in a thick forest of tall 100-200 foot pine trees the sun shined as it was morning. At that point I looked around and saw some mushrooms on the ground and then a TeePee.

At which point the string instruments started to play deep rich chords. Then the house started floating and so did I. Everything around was in a dance of some sort and more intricate sounds were coupled with the strings.

It was intense with visuals and sound.

Then there are other times where I find electronic instruments or guitars and start playing with them. At that point the instruments take on such a crazy/out of this world sound.

Wish I could record the time I tested out the latest and greatest 303 of my dreams. The sound coming out of there was insane.

Past that I had a dream last night of picking up a guitar and I played so fast my friends gave up trying to play along with me. I probably lost a lot of other added sound and complexity.

At any rate yeah man; I experience what you speak of a lot. The best experience i've dreamed of so far is where no instruments existed physically and there was some unforeseen entity/force which created all the vibrant sounds.
