Awesome!!

He played a lot of my favs. Question though.. was his whole performance a live PA or did he also play a set too? There were a few tracks I recognized that were not his.

Good question! lol When someone does a "live PA" can they also not interject other tunes? Honestly, the whole "live PA" thing is a big mysterious grey area to me...

In techno speak doesn't "Live PA" just refer to using Ableton? Because I'm pretty sure I've seen you a few people advertised as "Live" and all they're doing is using Ableton.

When he played Demf last year, he was listed as Live PA, and he only played tracks of his. Marc Houle, the same thing, earlier this year at Footwork. For the most part, they play their own stuff for these types of performances, hence why I'm inquiring if he threw in a set in there as well on Sat. *shrugs*

probably not man, just played other tunes as a part of his "live" set

Get Jon Jon to post the playlist

Posted by CODE on Oct-05-2009 12:08:

Here is the difference between (Live) and (Live PA)

Live: The artist uses a program like Abelton to mix and manipulate
tracks that are his own production or others.

The best example of this is Speedy J. Using his own tracks with
parts of other peoples tracks and anything he really wants to throw
in. Loops/Sounds/Hook anything.

Other Exanples would be: Joris Voorn,Robert Babicz

Live PA: Is the artist only playing his tracks or his version of other
peoples tracks...but they are really strickly there own productions.
Using abelton or Solid Hardware...like Tony Rohr.

Examples of this are Paul Kalkbrenner+Paul Ritch+Marc Houle

Johnny D is also a good example of this. He plays his stuff but when he plays longer he just starts dropping his remixes of other peoples
tunes. That is aloud as long as its his edit.

That pretty much sums up the difference.

Bonkers, truly bonkers. I could only stand 2.5 hours of him before my lower back started moaning at me.

Great times.

Jon! Where's that set!!!!

Posted by CODE on Oct-05-2009 14:54:

Sorry Guys..

The Set will not be released. Paul played 30 minutes longer than he was supposed to and played 4 tracks that are brand new and not released.
2 are remixes that he hasnt sent to the original artist yet.

For this reason the set will not be released. Its his request.

cut those out then, and release the rest =D
